i'm sorry to see so many likes minds as mine...i think~~anyway..i am a red blooded american male looking for love...but how do i explain where i was, or what i thought, am why i am a little confused about certain subjects.

Whats the dumbest thing you were counselled for?
by Beck_Melbourne ini was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.
if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.
one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.

Where were you?

sorry if this has been done to death, i only did a quick scan and didn't see a topic like this, so i appologize in advance if this was started someplace else.. this morning i woke up and thought about where i was last year, and the complete shock i felt at this same time last year...and i was just wondering if any of you had those same feelings this morning.. so where were you?
i always find stories of what people were doing at the time they heard to be really interesting-please share if you'd like.

Anyone still bothered by the demons?
by wednesday inhi i'm wednesday and born and raised in jw.-inactive several years.
i have had a number of iincidents that appear to demonic've had spirit beings sit on my bed at ight and talk to me i've been literally touched by things unseen.
now i know the jw are big on demon stuff.

Should I have a Christmas tree?

Do the tree thing dude! It will give you a few sleepless nights; but only because you'll not be able to resist the urge to keep getting up to look at all the pretty lights! LOL I remember my first tree, i hid it in a back room and kept the drapes closed. What a pathetic thing for me to do! The next year i got a 10 foot tree and placed it right in front of my 2 8 foot sliding doors so that all who passed my way could see!
Love to continue but I,ve got a Frankenstein Monster i need to install in my front yard!

Starry Starry Night....

i know that this may be a very deep subject, and i do not mean to dredge up bad memories, but i just ran across the lyrics to vincent aka starry starry night.
it was the first time that i ever actually read the words and it made me think of the jw friends that i have lost due to suicide.

I've not had any close friends accelerate their demise but was personally aquainted with three individuals who took their own lives that were Witnesses or studying to become one. I,ve twice rushed my own sister to the hospital for a suicide attempt, while she was an active Witness! About 3 years ago we had a young man, friend of my sons, drown himself in our pond. It's all quite sad!

Demon questions
by truthseeker1 ini have some questions for the techies out there:.
if demons hang out on websites waiting for unwitting jws to download them when they go to that particular website, do they travel faster over highspeed lines vs phone lines?.
are demons capped at a 56k transfer rate over a phone line?
