according to the watchtower- april 1, 2001, p. 11, par.
11, peter went to babylon (1peter 5:13) but according to tradition it was thomas who went to babylon.
so what is meant by babylon?.
Hello BJ,
interesting topic...let's
do some research.

the mexican scandal is well known, but the documents are not.
take a look at http://watchtower.observer.org.
i have published scanned documents, letter from the branch office in mexico, from the watchtower, and from the society's representative in mexico.. this should wake up a few jehovah's witnesses, i guess.. kent
Hello Kent,
your statement represent the real
situation among the brothers and sisters, expecially
in Europe. Very little is known about Mexico...very
little indeed. If someone tries to give more details
-with proof - is viewed with suspicion if not worst.
These subjects should be give wider publicity.
Thanks for your efforts,

P.S. Truth,...facts not lies!
the resident jws who post here and of course the jws around the world all feel that god has an organization and that they are it.
further, they ask 'where else would you go' if you talk about leaving their organizaton.
the jws talk about the organization in such terms as "it's the truth," or "wait on the organization," or "don't run ahead of the organization" as though god's divine name were really organization.. here is something that jws, and maybe some ex-jws need to understand: god (whether you call him jehovah, yahweh, jesus, buddah, allah, or any other fine name does not have any organization in heaven or on earth.
Hello Amazing,
a really thought provoking post!
Never mind certain ...answers! I'll write later about
the concept of God and organisation but the point you
raised about a " f a m i l y ", is more consistent
with what the Bible says.

in the days of the wtbts under the presidency of rutherford a lifetime ago, jws hauled phonographs from door to door and played records of rutherford's advertising speeches.
a sort of early experiment with multimedia.. the idea has returned in a way.
you don't have to go to brooklyn or even a kingdom hall anymore to get a first taste of official wtbts media.
Hello Skimmer,
thanks for the information.
I'll see and come back with comments!

when jws are angry due to some injustice their 'organization' has experienced, they allow themselves to have this anger and label it "righteous indignation".
but ... when ex-jws are angry, the society calls it 'gnashing our teeth in anguish, whinning, bemoaning some defective spiritual condition, or mad-dog apostates.'.
now, the time has come for ex-jws and really anyone not associated with the jws to have righteous indignation as the watch tower society and its leaders are going to face public examination of their dirty laundry.
Hello Amazing,
thanks for your post, very true.
I do agree with your comments.
Please continue to keep us informed.

P.S. Certain things are still " unknown " here in Europe.
perhaps this forum can serve as a place for some serious discussion regarding the direction that ajwrb will take in the coming months.
this document lays out proposed strategy and goals for ajwrb.
we would like you to evaluate the contents and offer your views.
Hello LeeElder,
excellent information! The basic idea is
truly positive. I'll follow with my comments on the various points.
Thanks for your efforts,

so we can see that the early jehovah witnesses believed that jesus parousia began in 1874. the truth book states this above and it is in all the old books.

this statement is coming from the organization that offered the scholarship and keeps written records of such.
Hello uncle_onion,
a very interesting correspondence,
with the Wts "answer" to your many logical and supporting
quotes.I do like your comment:
"To date, I have not recieved a repsonse from them. All those who are still JWs here should read the letters and think very carefully about things."
I'll come back to it.

i've always been taught that each disciple of christ has a scriptural obligation to preach, and to do so in imitation of jesus and his disciples.
they did this by house to house, in synagogues, and in the marketplaces.
this is one thing that has always kept me close to jehovah's witnesses.
Hello Lookingnow22,
a good question. You have already received
many answers...get the sense of it.
Btw MyMichelle/ thanks for the link, I had lost it...

i am not presuming to know all of the details of this lady's life.
however, it did ring a bell with me because there were many in my congregation who pioneered while being supported on welfare etc.. their claims of being so sick as to not be able to work, oddly enough did not disqualify them from 'pioneering.'.
Hello Everyone,
well in some part of Europe, people
on a "sick leave" period, sometimes, more than 3/4 weeks
did...yes you're right... - aux. pioneer "!!!
