if you've been associated with the witnesses, believing in god was a necessity.
do you still feel that god exists?
if you believe in god, do you feel that he cares about you?

Is there a god? Yes.
That is how I know that He exists, because He answers my prayers. One way or another, in due time. Not just in mere coincidental curcumstance, but in emotional support (allowing me to forget my money worries and sleep) and other ways.
How do you know that you've not answered your own prayers? How do you know that the "peace of mind" you experience is not your own doing.
I sleep soundly at night and I'm an athiest. How do you explain that?

i just found the use of names a bit "strange / interesting" in the dec. 1, 2002 wt article on page 8, which back - translated is "at the captain's table".
it tells about the meeting between captain robert g. smith of the white star line, and charles taze russell.
why "robert and russell"?.
Captain Robert G. Smith of the White Star Line
Was he the same guy who sailed the Titanic into the iceberg?

its been almost two years since my husband passed away.
i never really though about going out with anyone romantically until just recently.
i was born into the truth.
Hey Dutchie:
Want to go on a date? I've got plenty of drugs and some friends who would be intersted in "getting to know you" later. Oh and the ram's scull above my doorway is just for decoration.
Seriously, good on you. You're an ab fab lady who deserves to be happy.

i have only just registered at this forum and i would like to know if there are any ex jw's that live in or close to canberra, australia.. i have been shunned by all family and friends because i left the organisation (not disfellowshipped at this stage but won't be long) and i finding it hard to cope with.
i am sorry to be down but i miss all my family and friends and would love to make new friends that know what i am going through.
my boyfriend is very understanding but gets frustrated as he doesn't know why my family are doing this to me.. this sounds like a whingy post but i promise you, i am not normally like this.
You Aussies sucked all the goodness out of Ansett and then sold it to New Zealand for a profit. Now it's defunct you start to bleat. I saw several Ansett planes sitting idle at Sydney airport, you could probably buy one cheap if you spkoe to the right people.
F.Y.I. Air New Zeland have just stopped their in-flight meals and drinks as well as removing Buisness Class for flights under 3 hours. All you get now is a piss-weak coffee and a stale biscuit.
Next time I come to Oz I'll fly United Airlines.
