The only "opinion" I expressed was that The Borg needs to improve its policy/prodecures re pedofiles. If you think they don't need to improve, then that's fine.
If you are stupid enough to think that anyone here has any ability whatsover to change the US Constitution or centuries-old English Common Law, then, as you have aptly demostrated, you are totally CLUELESS!!!

Please specify what it is in my post that you disagree with, because I fully support any and all discussions/suggestions for the Borg to improve how it handles the pedofile issue.
If you are disagreeing about the "Privilege" issue, then you obviously have no clue what you wish to argue about. If you want to waste your time posting arguments that have no possibility of impacting anything, then your time would be better spent joining a db advocating that the US change its form of government to Communism, Monarchy, or the like.

In the two weeks or so that I've been here, I've seen the issue of "Is the Org entitled to Clerical Privilege" continuously mixed into the pedofile discussions.
DROP IT! The US courts grant such to all religions, and the US Constitution forbids courts or lawmakers from making laws that would require them to treat one religion differently from another. If the Catholics have counselors trained in Jesuit Universities and Pentacostals have counselors who don't even have a high school diploma, the difference doesn't legally matter! As far as the government is concerned, it is a religious choice that individuals make when they join any given religion.
With that said, the government can pass a law which treats all religions equally, so long as it doesn't intrude on their constitutional rights. Passing a law that requires the reporting of child abuse which was learned outside the confines of clerical counseling is such.
If a religion has deficiencies in a particular area, then it is up to them to deal with such. That's where discussion, etc. of the JW pedofile problem is beneficial. It has taken "apostates" to get the Borg to remove their finger from their collective ass on this issue. Suggestions regarding proper in-house procedures ARE appropriate topics of discussion.

i have been thinking about a situation that happened some years ago prior to my becoming a jdub.
i had met a man in a hospital in san diego who was an invalid, he had no family there, and if it wasn't for a couple of local sisters, he wouldn't have had anyone to visit or talk with him.
he was to remain in the hospital until his death some months later.
Just like many of us can relate incidents of pedofiles inside the cong, and their similar handling by the elders, I also know a situation where a lifelong JW lingered in a nursing home for years with only an occasional visit from a small handful of friends, despite the nursing home being at the intersection of 4 cong territories.
The common denominator with Org treatment, whether you are young or old, pedafile or not, is ARE you attending all the meetings and reporting your 10 hours?
Its just like working for a large corporation. If you are a team player as far as helping the people above you to meet their performance objectives, then they love you and will look the other way so long so your activity doesn't cause them probs with their supervisors. If you can't help them meet their performance goals they ignore you. If you won't help meet their goals, they fire (df) you!

I'm somewhat confused regarding what you are even asking, but if it pertains to Loans to the WTS, I can relate my vague recollection:
JW "lends" bucks to WTS.
WTS pays "interest" back to JW.
JW "wills" principal to WTS.
This transaction allows WTS to use the principal while JW is alive, and the debt is wiped out at JW's death.

i have seen coc posted on the internet in german, and possibly in at least one other foreign language.. coc has been out in english for 18 years.
i obviously don't know any of the particulars regarding ray's financial needs, his deal with the publisher, or the annual sales.. however, i would like to make an appeal to the various interested parties that coc be posted on the internet.
surely there are other parties interested enough, with financial resources to compensate ray equal to his annual income from the sale of coc.

However, I don't know how to make it any clearer that I am aware of his financial predicament after leaving Bethel, and I never expected him to take any financial hit in making COC public.
Actually, your info would seem to indicate that he must be doing reasonably well now, although I have no doubt that there were probably some lean years.

Re: Amazon/Online Retailers. Purchasing from such is not Anon. Your CC record is in their files, plus the purchase is on your monthly statement. JWs must work for these businesses, and could easily misuse their systems to see who is ordering COC and other books. Then, there is the possibility of the spouse or kids getting their hands on it when it is delivered.
Re: The Publisher (Commentary Press) Who are these people, and how did Ray connect with them if they are only interested in MONEY???
BLOND: As I indicated, I was not expecting Ray to take any loss in the deal. I am hoping someone with BUCKS would make annual payments equal to his royalties. (I doubt that annual sales are really that great.)

I believe that many, many JWs who would never take a chance ordering the book would access COC if they could do so anonymously via the net.

Comparing Korah's situation to Ray's situation has so many differences that one has to be a JW to be simpleminded enough not to see such. (Calling someone a JW is the best insult I can think of.)
Ray's conscience finally got the best of him, and he decided that he would no longer "play the game". This meant giving up power, not gaining power.
