Last Summer in the local supermarket, I bumped into a relative of a patient we had previously had on our ward who I'd looked after, I sort of recognised this woman as she said hello, and she then proceeded to thank me for looking after her husband and her gratitude for all that the nurses had done for him. Oh thats great I said, how is he coming along now, .........suddenly there was this awful silence.........He's dead, she said. You was the one that was with me when he died.......... I could have died myself. Theres just too many patients coming and going in hospitals these days if you ask me!

by Jesika ini was putting clothes in the dryer the other day and went to turn it on and it wouldn't start.
i couldn't figure out what was wrong since i had just taken some clothes out of the same dryer.
i looked down and noticed i hadn't closed the dryer door .

Back for work Xmas meal...
by ScoobySnax injust got back earlier tonight from the works christmas meal organised by my colleagues at a local resturant club, they all know my take on xmas, and they were aware this was the first one i'd been, so over the turkey, wine, music and general stuff , they handed me, whilst giving out the usual xmas cards, a stack of cards that i opened that all just said ....dear scott, have a very merry "ordinary day" and a happy jan 1st!!!

What a fantastic night though, ever heard that song by "Tavares"...."Heaven must be missing an angel" ....laughing, if you could have seen us jumping around the place. mad! ......you know.... I really move like a cat after a few!.....lol !! couple that with ABBA and a couple of BoneyM well you can imagine, talk about camp as christmas!....a great time, wish you'd have been there, honest it was a blast! So much so that I had to invite some of them back for a few drinks.......well the 15 that were here in my flat have just left after 6 bottles of wine and 3 crates of beer and one hell of a noise, I've exhausted my my CD collection, the music here has been up at fall blast, and we've danced here so hard that I think the neighbours are gonna complain in the morning! but oh my what a night!!!! ...I just love my friends so much. Not sure why I'm typing this, maybe I'm still on a high at 4:10am.......whatever you're doing hope you have such a good time too!!!......FANTASTIC!
