Hangover Cures....... (groan)
by ScoobySnax ini'm sitting here bleary eyed typing this, counting the empty cans from last night feeling like crap.
so in order to remedy this i've just put some bacon and sausages in the frying pan, the mushrooms and tin tomatoes are standing by as is the bread for the fried bread to mop it all up in.
kettle on and tea (about 5 cups) beckons.

You got any better remedies???

What did you do during school assemblies?
by Qcmbr inin my school the two jw kids sat out of assemblies and i always wondered what they got up during that time.
i always wanted to have the courage to say i had religious objections to assemblies but to be honest i just hated siting cross legged on the wooden floor for ages.
anyone experience sitting out assemblies (or whatever your school equivelant is) and what did you do?

There were 11 JWs in our secondary school and we used to sit in the entrance hall during school assemblies, as soon as the collective "amen" was said at the end of the lords prayer in we would all go filing down past all the school as they sat and waited for us, 1000 pair of eyes burning into us every morning. It was lovely!

Hi QCMBR
Interesting post you've made. My P.A is LDS at work, and we often have chats and "compare" our faiths/beliefs. I'm inactive as a JW (else I probably wouldn't be here!) but still hold on to alot of the teachings, she on the other hand is very devout. Not long ago she said to me how strange it was that we got along so well as she was always lead to believe that JWs were in some way "rivals" to Mormons (and vice-versa) and didn't like each other........I told her I'd never heard that one before. So it was interesting that you read this site as a sort of "one in the eye" for the JWs as you said.
Is that how you've always felt about the Witnesses?
Just interested to know.
Oh and welcome btw!

My 8 Foot R/c Plane...
by FMZ ini know, i know... it's just another big toy... but this rocks!.
it's made of pink foam (it will be covered in black monocote when finished with flames on the wingtips), and the wingspan is 8 whole feet.
most of the electronics are in there apart from the motor, which shipment was delayed on.

Not wanting to "piss on your party" but I have cousins and second cousins that are still JWs who have had kids that are growing up now, and all of them have stayed in the faith.
Just my observation

"Bishops Finger" LOL haven't had that in a while. I used to go to a pub in Rochester Kent, and it served that, belonged to the Society of CAMRA (Campain for Real Ale) it was almost like attending a religious sitting, the blokes in their were so hung up on "Real Ale".......lol. Any yes I managed 4 pints.
Of course a middle point is Boddingtons, still a creamy pint. View the ads on my link above....Screen Kiss. And we haven't even got onto the meat pudding yet.
You are NOT Ugly, in a Warthog sort of way........ ha ha
