The pope
by Stromboli inthe pope was admitted to hospital and on the national tv (rai) they were saying that he has an entire apartment right in the h just for himself, not only that but the room just below was emptied just to avoid noise for him.
unbelivable!
recently a man in italy died because the ambulance could not find a bed for him in a hospital so by the time they arrived to the one bed that was available 200kms away he was dead.

Yes, will definately be attending. I don't think I could ever miss the Memorial, even if a do feel a twinge of hypocrisy. (because of MY actions the rest of the year) I'll go also because it is good to see some old friends too.

i seem to be a magnet for them at local supermarkets, i always stop and chat and can't help still feeling such a connection with them.
they were my "brothers and sisters" after all.

by booker-t ini remember years ago when i was a "devout" jw there was a co-worker of mine that spent every waking minute trying to convert jw's to born-again christianity.
i was abit afraid of him because i thought he was demon-possessed.
he had all of the old wt publications and spent many hours debating with jw elders.

Tough day -- my mom died today
by cruzanheart inpoor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.

I seem to be a magnet for them at local supermarkets, I always stop and chat and can't help still feeling such a connection with them. They were my "brothers and sisters" after all. I just cannot feel anything but a love for them that I remember when I used to go to the meetings. Of course they encourage me to come back to "Jehovah's Organisation" and soon. I always walk away pleased I saw them, but like I have somehow failed in some way. They were good people in my book.
Damn, life is funny sometimes.

I am a Mobile phone thief.........I confess.
by ScoobySnax inok as if being caught smoking by a fellow jw wasn't bad enough, last month my wallet was stolen.
consequently i had to cancell all my credit/debit cards.
this evening i tried to top up my talk minutes on my t-mobile phone like i have done for the past 3 years without a hitch.

OK as if being caught smoking by a fellow JW wasn't bad enough, last month my wallet was stolen. Consequently I had to cancell all my credit/debit cards. This evening I tried to top up my talk minutes on my T-Mobile phone like I have done for the past 3 years without a hitch. Tonight I got put on hold and then transferred to Customer Services. I explained that my cards that were originally registered with them would be different as I had to replace them all after the theft, yet the slimy git on the other end began to infer that I had maybe stolen the phone that I've held for the past 3 years.
This went on for 25 minutes.......
......So I said, but I've given you my password and mothers maiden name crap etc,and the reason why the numbers on my debit card might be different.... what can't you understand? He then said I was getting mad and needed to calm down and that I could be anyone who may have stolen this phone I'm using.
Naturally I commended him for being astute to mobile phone theft, but told him that his company was a Knob outfit.
T-Mobile??? Don't bother.
I'm getting myself a new Orange Network Phone.

Hangover Cures....... (groan)
by ScoobySnax ini'm sitting here bleary eyed typing this, counting the empty cans from last night feeling like crap.
so in order to remedy this i've just put some bacon and sausages in the frying pan, the mushrooms and tin tomatoes are standing by as is the bread for the fried bread to mop it all up in.
kettle on and tea (about 5 cups) beckons.
