Paint, Barney, and Jehovah

he is one of those elders that is very, very, petty.
if he drops by your house unexpected and notices that your kids are watching one of the star wars movies, he will counsel you for allowing your kids to watch any movie that has to do with war he will then make sure you are not recommended for any privilege.

Nope, never been happier in my life. In fact, I was depressed and in a very, very, very dark place with no love for myself being a JW. Leaving literally saved my life. Can't even really express how meaningful that was for me.
Most JW's don't have a carefree life. There are too many rules and regulations. It's being in an abusive relationship.
I envy no one. If there's something I want or improvements I can make to better myself and my situation, I take responsibility and make it happen. I can do that now that I'm flying free.

I talked to an elderly lady, but she is not a Jehovah’s Witnesses
by John Aquila ini was coming out of sams club and i bumped into an elderly lady, probably late 70s early 80s.
(i wasnt about to ask a lady what her age is.
) one of the workers was pushing a cart full of rib-eye steaks.

Loved the parallels between their lives. I always see these tag lines on JW facebook pages and instagram accounts that says "best life ever" that causes instant eye rolls on my behalf. These people don't even understand what they are missing or how good the personal freedom is. They just keep drinking the kool aid.

not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.
still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

And what would prevent factions from revolting against the WT and living in their own parts of the world? Afterall, there are only 7.5 million witnesses so there would be ample of land to restart your own cicilization far from any shunning or any other course of disciplinary actions. -

You ever notice how the WT never goes into detail about the clean up process of the paradise? The world's entire infrastructure is going to be destroyed and so its safe to assume that the internet, electricity, cell phones, streets, etc are all gone. How do these non-educated, science-hating people assume they are going to handle all of that? The people won't be perfect so people will still need their medicine. Where are they gonna get it? What about if someone gets hurt or needs a blood transfusion? I know it's probably a "wait on Jehobo" kind of thing but does that make any damn sense? -

There has been break offs from the Witnesses from the very beginning. They go nowhere and have wayyyyyyy out there crazy ideas. Nothing new.
Exactly. The JW's themselves are just an off shoot from the Advent movement starting with the Millerites. Since then there have been so many others springing up. It won't stop.

The elderly sisters are at it again.
by John Aquila inawhile back, about a year and a half ago, when i was starting to wake up, i explained to my mom that when the circuit overseer is in town, they schedule shepherding calls after lunch, not because they care, but because they dont want to work door to door in the hot summer or cold winter.
and they know that a prepared call means some nice hot chocolate and cookies or some ice cold tea and snacks.
i remember her looking at me kind of funny so i ended the conversation and left it at that, and never brought it up again.
