i personally know the individual involved closely, this is not a rumor.

this is what happens when you let three unqualified guys decide whether or not you get to ever date again with jehovah's blessing.. a young man finds out his wife is cheating on him by seeing texts on her phone.

he knows the person she is cheating with.

I feel like the elders in this case didn't know their own rules. Instead of bothering to figure it out they just let the poor dub suffer knowing he has to suck it up and wait on Jehovah.

and the dragon occurs roughly at the start of the church age.. some even argue that the battleground is the church itself.. others say this scene describes the dispute between michael.

saw three "public preachers" standing in a triangle facing people as they approach.

they all looked so depressed, that i almost went up to them to ask:.

"where is your kingdumb smile - i thought jws are the happiest people in the world.".

I wonder if it works at all. I doubt it has any success in most of the US.

Could it be they got sick of being confused with Mormons while going door to door so they had to come up with something else to make them stand out? Or maybe it is an effort to increase persecution by way of being made fun of for being weird. Or is just that they think that people just seeing the sign is a good enough witness so Jehovah can kill the wicked without compunction?

Being able to give councel to others while completely ignoring that councel yourself. Thats like the points at the end of the rainbow.

Pointy Haired Elder (PHE): Brother so and so we need to talk. I noticed you went to see that R rated movie about aquariums the other day, do you think that was appropriate?

Brother so and so: No PHE you are right, I’m soooo sorry, how can I make it up to the FDS? I’ve really let them down haven’t I?

PHE: Lets go to jw.org together and see how Jehovah feels about your actions. counsel counsel counsel….judgement, judgement, judgement.

Brother so and so walks away feeling grateful for Jehovah’s timely counsel never realizing that the PHE only knew because he was sitting behind brother so and so at the movie theater.

What happened to the "Witness" part of Jehovah's Witnesses?

i just got back from my afternoon walk/run and about a block from home i saw two sets of jw's going door to door handing out invites to the memorial.. the first pair walked past me and only said "good afternoon" as they passed.. about two minutes later the second pair approached me and handed me an invite to 2014 memorial on april 14. i asked them why they chose the jw's as their church of choice and was told "we'd like to chat more but we have a set number of invites we have to get out before the memorial.

if you contact the kingdom hall listed here, they will tell you more... on how god's kingdom will rid the world of satan and the evil associated with him.".

i replied "you can't talk now?".

I've been gone for around 20 years now (yikes I'm getting old) and I don't think we made a special effort to invite the general public.

I do remember we invited anyone and everyone that ever had anything to do with the JWs and all the faders would come out of the wood work.

I guess it is like the worldy version of a new years resolution.

Are You Raising An Introvert?

its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.

it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.

this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

Hmm I had forgotten all about the war in heaven. 1914 was supposed to be the year Satan was cast to earth. That is why all the troubles allegedly started after that.

The Tower ate many Baby Boomers

i do some thinking every once and a great while and had a little brain storm which to most of you is just a cloudy sky.

looking back into history i put one and two together and see that the baby boomers came to be after the 4 first false prophecies of the tower which were in 1914, 1915, 1925 and 1945. after all this jazz happens they have a huge fall out and change and twist their doctrine to set up their next sales pitch, and wouldn't you know it, who's there for the towers perfect meal, baby boomers, the tower chew's away and gets pretty full for they're plenty of them, those ingredient were perfect.

these people grew up with wars, tons of protest's, scandals you name it there was plenty of things happening to them, add a little this and a dash of that and that's what the tower loves to feed on the feared.

Begs the question, who is the prime material these days?

Do the trolley carts fit in with today's generation (not the WT version of course)

The internet along with the more hip jw.org sure seems to.

Maybe they know that you can text and browse your ipad while you’re sitting next to the trolleys. The door to door work has to seem like torture to anyone raised on video games. Even more so than for us folks that were raised watching paint dry for fun.

We will know for sure when we see angry cat on the cover of the Awake.

Is this new? I don't remember a push to invite non-members to the memorial. They were always too scared they might partake. I thought it was just studies, relatives and inactive ones that you made an effort to invite.

Seems like the worst meeting on the planet to be invited to if you want to drum up interest.

Maybe it's a push to make this seem like it just might be the last memorial?
