i know many of you have felt this way but it still hurts.. i was doing fine, great actually but then all of the sudden a huge wave of pain hit my body out of the blue.

I was doing fine, great actually but then all of the sudden a huge wave of pain hit my body out of the blue. Man its so hard living this life, always pretending, except when you're alone. I feel like its eating me from the inside.

So many times I want to just give up, on both sides. Like, just leave everyone that I know inside the org and be alone. But then there are other times when I say maybe I should just live my whole life pretending.

But I know I can't do that!

It can get pretty lonely when you're living a lie... And have no one to express yourself face to face with.

Dont get me wrong, I love this place! All of you are great! There's not a day that goes by without me checking this site!

But it can drive you pretty crazy sometimes. Sometimes I feel like life isn't going to get any better anymore and that I'd be better off forgotten since I'm going to be treated that way by the very people that "loved me dearly" once.

guess I just need someone to talk to...

Phone witnessing??

its just praised religous telemarketing!.

ive been doing it this whole morning and the only thing i've done to make it go quicker was to memorize a disconnected number.. its been working extremely well.... but did any of you that ever did it feel strange like you were selling something?!

like you were in a call center?.

Oh and did anyone ever actually listen? Did you ever bring someone in by making a call?

Cause I've never heard a brother start off his "how he came into the truth story" with, "well just as I was about to blow my brains out, I heard my phone ringing and..."

Ugh, what a sad waste of time!

How much longer will 1914 be preached??

was in the city today and saw an old factory with the year of its beginning painted on the wall saying "since 1914", and thought "thats a long time ago".. i believe the teaching of 1914 will slowly fade away and be forgotten in about 10-15years, give or take... it's seriously starting to lose its touch.. millions now living will never buy it.... but since it's a hardcore doctrine of jdubbies and the watchtower used to pinpoint the coming of jesus(invisible), the start of the famous "last days", the 144,000 and part of the reason the govering body have their power, they will have to find a damn good explanation and another alternative.

You all have some very interesting points... I am beginning go believe that in the near future 1914 will still be mentioned, but NOT necessarily preached!

And I can see how the GB could use it to their advantage actually.

Because the older the doctrine gets, the easier original doctrines will be forgotten, and so the easier it would be for the governing body to shape, bend, and twist the meaning of that year. Who knows what new light they could bust out with in the future, it could be another year like 1934, 1984, etc!- eh sounds far fetched I know but they could end up saying that since the early 1900's, more importantly with 1914, true Christians were preaching that the last days WOULD come...

See my point?

In my mind I just dont see 1914 as a permanent date anymore.
