I wasn't speaking about your personal feelings or beliefs. I was referring to the link with the criticism of the NWT.
But I agree the Watchtower Translators weren't especially guided by Holy Spirit. If "Holy Spirit" was the answer then it should have put
Freddy in a divine trance and have him automatically write the correct words. Kinda like the gold plates Joseph Smith copied.

Is it ethical to confess extramarital sex to your spouse
by Most Noble indurex's global sex survey has found that 44% of adults worldwide have had one-night extramarital sex and 22% have had an affair.according to a 2004 united states survey, 16% of married partners have had extramarital sex, nearly twice as many men as women, while an additional 30% have fantasized about extramarital sex.
there were also studies that have shown rates of extramarital sex as low as 2.5%.as many authors conclude, these kinds of estimates are probably understated because extramarital sex is commonly disapproved.. .
what do you think is it ethical to confess an extramarital affair?.

The real question should be - If honesty is the best policy - is it also the best strategy?

Words.
Just noise in the machine.
The hair folicles in the inner ear vibrate. Hearing is a sense that evolved from touch. Maybe there is a biological meaning to the expression "getting your ears tickled".

I looked up the criticism of the NWT. You can probably criticize the NWT but you aren't going to get TRUTH from any religion.
Most religions tend to deify the individual they claim founded their set of beliefs. The "New Testament" sources are just ambiguous enough
to let people believe what they want to believe about whoever the real Jesus was. You would think that if Jesus were God he would at least have
written something down or had a personal secretary.
Thirty percent of the New Testament is about Jesus' life and mostly 3½ years of his preaching. The other 70% is about the early association and
emergence of a structure that eventually became the Catholic church. I could use the word "organization" instead of "structure" but many here are
in denial that a group of people could actually evolve from a primitive association into a complex organization. The Catholic church edited out the
conflicting ideas in their "bound volumes" a long time ago.
What is irritating about subjects like this is the assumption that JW's are wrong and that some other interpretation is correct or big TRUTH.

What a great life he had. I heard him play live 3 times.
His jazz was unique. Crisp. Large chords with his big hands. Never took you too far out into avant garde territory. I never felt I had to work hard to appreciate Brubeck. Perfect blend of body and mind.
He "took six" at a good ripe age.

Liberals Vs. Conservatives & Moderates In Life

Neither liberals or conservatives are necessarily "open".
However, liberals tend to be more open than conservatives.
Rural people are conservative. They don't like big cities where they have to deal with "unpredictable" strangers. Rural people are quite hospitable toward people they know but treat outsiders with suspicion.
A welfare state is a necessity for a nation where the majority of people live in large cities.
If you lose your job in a city you lose everything if there isn't the support of government welfare.
You can't camp out in a city.
If you chip away at the social welfare net you will produce a nation that is plagued by beggars with tin cups.
Worse yet you will have to take care of them in prisons.
The tipping point toward liberalism/socialism was when people left the farms and moved to the cities.
The longterm trend is toward liberalism. As cities grow larger the wilderness will become MadMax.
Our biggest problem in this world are with people who live in the wide open wilderness ie. the Taliban. Russia has the same problem.
The country side is conservative, suspicious, nationalistic. The Big cities Moscow, St.Petersburg would like to be part of the Western world of the US and Europe.
The problem in the US is the veto power of senators and congressman that represent primarily rural districts.

Leaving the organization doesn't mean you are dis-organized. You just have to own your ability as an ORGANISM to re-organize based on an updated map of reality.
Being disfellowshipped doesn't mean you are Dis-organized.

Why can't they tell everyone at the same time? I don't give a damn when the date is or where its held.
But it's a petty way of making the elders feel important.
WOW. What a privilege.
Next time someone says they were "privileged" to have some responsibility think of the derivation of the word. Priv (one person) lege (law). It's a law applying to one person. It makes them feel so special (blessed).
Right after Sir posts the assemblies and locations we should all book rooms and then cancel them a month later.
