I am surprised too they allowed him to be in the WTS drama. I am not saying he is doing anything against the WT teaching, but ... it is strange, the Society is usually avoiding things like this. To be a freelance author is definitely not an usual occupation for JW.

The statement is not very positive, is it? Watchtower being true to its reputation quote-mines it multiple times in the literature:

I am wondering if there is even one example of WTS not quoting out of context.
whilst not endorsing any of the beliefs or doctrines of this group i found it really interesting that once herbert armstrong died it had a major overhaul of it's beliefs and practices (very similar in a cultish way to jws).
apologising for it's errors and putting things right.
it became less judgemental, more encompassing of other christian faiths.
Unfortunately WCG was in different setup than WTS.
WCG was led by one person (Armstrong) and when he died it caused disruption in the organization's course. There was a new leadership (Tkach) that replaced the previous one. So J. Tkach was able to change their path. He was an absolute monarch.
In contrast to WCG, WTS will not go through such disruption when a GB member dies. The politbyro simply appoints a new one and the rest of the GB continues to rule. If WTS is still one-man show as in the Rutherford era, probability new Caesar can make big changes would be much higher. They are now not able to make rapid / big changes comparable to what autocrats Rutherford & Knorr did when they took power.
If the whole GB dies at one moment, then it would be a different story...
i was watching one of the extras on the knocking dvd and a woman commentator talked about a scandalous letter from the jw's to hitler and the nazi party in 1933. does anyone know where i can read this letter at?.

One important statement from this letter is usually not brought to attention and I consider that statement to be extremely shocking.
In some parts of the country measures are being taken against an association of earnest Christian men and women which has positive Christianity as its foundation.
Maybe we do not see anything special in these words now, but Hitler and co. definitely did. JW's stated they are founded on the positive Christianity. The term "positive Christianity" was used by Nazis to describe some NS flavor of Christianity without the old testament and "Jewish influences".

I do not understand what they do those 8wks. Some secret knowledge presented there? Like anti-types, Knorr as Elisha, TOMO3 as Eglon, etc.? Or training for "ministry" only? After 8 weeks they must be completely brainwashed...
i am sorry that on my first post i am asking for help and advice but i am at my wits end.
i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.
i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

I have gone through all your posts and i think you still believe JWs are the truth, right? I have not seen you saying things like "the slave is not the God's channel", "WTS is a dangerous cult", "false prophet", criticism of the GB etc. which normally people that are about to leave the org express.
In this case is it not better just to slow down if you have doubts, continue to research and keep your social ecosystem untouched?
the study wt of march 2016 is up on jw.org and is the standard article around this time of year...pressuring young kids to dedicate their lives to the organization again.
this wt will be studied during may, so just in time to pressure them into baptism at the regional conventions this summer.such articles really upset me, as the realization of how many young promising lives will be destroyed.
how many families will be broken up, when the child who got baptized as a minor (ages 6 and up are mentioned in the literature) decides as a young adult that his/her conscience no longer allows him/her to be part of such a destructive cult.
