No pension no preparation for retirement
by Mikejw ina lot of my ex fellow servants must be now in their seventies, what can you do?.
no children no money no home.
it is so sad.. so many decided not to have children as the end was right around the corner and that was decades ago.

When has that rule changed that SP get flexible allowances? Do you mean it differs from country to country? That has always been the case. It used to be the same amount for everyone in the same country. We had around 500 Dutch guilders each (€250), and had to pay our own rent.
I remember it as the poorest years of my life.

Investment departments in Bethel
by Mikejw ini was a bethelite in london for many years then got reassigned to the field and then went on brd from the start of chelmsford right upto covid.. during my years at the branch i was sometimes asked to be on a team who went to homes donated to the branch when some older one died.. this happenes an awful lot, everything is left to the branch in the will.
the unbelieving family is furious they didn’t get left anything and sometimes they tried to get their elderly relatives possessions and there was a legal battle .
but in the end a team of us would go and empty the property and another team would clean it up and put it on the market to sell it for the worldwide work.. all the possessions were sorted into trash or possibly valuable .

Sorry Mike. For me you lost all credibility. I have known and met a good amount of “top brass”, in ms-service and at Brooklyn and Patterson. Very few were wearing rings, and I never saw something that had to do with freemasonry.

Are you sure the judicial investigation as you call it, was for a tax deduction? Of course I believe you. -

Personally I don’t think it has any meaning. It’s the lack of “je ne sais quoi”, lack of style. You can see it from their shabby cheap suits and adornments on their polyester ties. A signet ring, when you are not from an aristocratic family is “not done”.

3 years in the making
by Judgerussellford inthursday while i was at work, a new elder stopped by the house (almost 3 years after fading) to encourage us to go back to meetings.
said everyone misses us.
if you did, why not stop by and say hi every now and then?

STANLIVEDEATH.
That is the situation in many European countries. For example in the Netherlands, the only requirement to receive a state pension at 66 or 67 is you lived in the country all the years. It doesn’t matter if you worked or not.
For example I have a friend, some years older than me, who never worked since 1985 untill now. He was 65 and received his full state pension, some € 1200,00 and the state pays almost all his rent. He is witness of course and always did some jobs on the side, cash.
I have been working since I was 18, even did some work while being a special pioneer. I left the country in 1991 for missionary assignments untill 2000. Guess? When I will be 66, I will receive at least 18% less state pension that he receives, because I lived outside the country.

Lee, you must know this plane was owned by a retired brother, I know who he is, hé even stayed at our missionary-home, to pick up the branch coördinator to go on an Alaskan fishing trip.
I cant blame them they went with him for Free, I would have done the same but those kind of brothers had no eye for us… yes, to stay for free at the missionary-home and use us as a cook.
