They will come out stronger, and maybe their eyes will be opened. We left missionary-service, I was 40 years old at that moment. We went back to Europe and after a 4 or 5 months we had our appartement and I was self-employed as a contractor. It is not a big deal to get your own independent life. Work, work, show balls and you will get it. And CARPE DIEM.

SING NO SAD SONGS FOR EX-BETHELITES
by steve2 inwhat happens to ex-bethelites is really of no concern to the gb.
and equally no concern to us as ex-jws or those who question jw organization.. layoffs have happened at headquarters and elsewhere for many, many years - although the scale this time is larger than previously, being an all time high: 1,600. .
for the record, we should spare any sympathy/empathy for those who are about to sent packing this time.

Large Increase in Trolley Witnessing
by The Searcher inwhen the org implements its bethelite "genocide" and demotes many members of the "worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovahs witnesses" into lowly regular pioneers, many more trollies will have to be found in order for such ones to rack up their required monthly hours.. how many are actually going to be shocked by this into waking up?
.

Can't they Selling something on the side on their trollies? Like coffee tea, sandwiches? Counting time and making money! -

It's not your conduct, it's your status
by donny injw's often state that their practice of disfellowshipping is used to keep the congregation clean and free of "worldly" influences and the like, however that is just pure b.s.
in actual practice, all they actually care about is your status according to the watchtower society.
case in point is ray's situation.. ray disassociated himself about 20 years ago because elders and other jw's were constantly spreading false rumors after he quit attending meetings.

A Green Handshake
by dgp ini just learned that sometimes people give "green handshakes".

I think we shouldn't forget that some brothers used to give us, money, clothes, (I even received a car from a brother), just because they appreciated our work, not to expect something in return. We, as europeans, were surprised by the amounts of money they gave us every time we went to different congregations in the NY area just to hear experiences from our missionary assignment. and they couldn't expect something in return, so it was just generosity.

Pioneering
by Sabin ini`ve heard many pioneers claim that they are deserving of material things because they are the ones who make all the sacrifices.
one claimed that jehovah had made sure that she got absolutely everything she wanted right down to shelfs so she could put up pic`s of her family because, to quote "we are so deserving, we`ve made the sacrifice".
mind you this is the same sister who told me "it`s harder for me having my son d.fs than for a mother loosing her child in death".
