Mouthy,
I would like "Learn from the Great Teacher" if it is still available. I'm curious to see what the WTBTS writes about Jesus. I must have been DF'd before that book came out.
I live in California. I will send you a PM with my address.

**Rather, when making a decision or handling a problem, we ask: "What would Jesus do in this situation?"**
What a joke! When do JWs ever think about Jesus?
As you said Blondie, "how well does the average JW know Jesus?"

The poster who you find the FUNNIEST here, and why?
by outbutnotdown inof course, different people enjoy different types of humour, so there will be a wide variety of responses, but if you could mention why you find that person funny, personally, it would be appreciated.. i would have to say that i have to pick two people.
i enjoy having humour displayed in a tasteful manner, but with wit.
a life-lesson taught with a laugh is about as good as it gets, imo, even if i am not capable of accomplishing that very well myself.

Mel Gibson's Passion
by Oroborus21 innot sure if this has been discussed already since i haven't been frequenting the board much.
but has anyone here seen an advance screening of mel gibson's (he is the producer not acting in it i believe) "passion" or has heard much about it.
it is a scripture-faithful telling of the gospel account of jesus' death.. i read an article a while back in the new yorker and caught snippets here and there.

I read a newpaper article that stated the release date of "The Passion" will be Feb 25, 2004. I can't wait to see the movie!
