  famous jehovahs witnesses

  this is my first post.. when i was still a witness myself, there were some perennial stories regarding 'famous' jehovahs witnesses or ex's.

  does anyone know any truth or have any proof about the following: hank marvin, cliff richard and more importantly, the man who hit the gong in the 'rank' movies?.

  Disctrict conventions and hot days

  as far as i can remember, the district convention was always the last week of june or first week of july in my region.

  in either case it was always very hot out, and where we gathered for the convention it was always very hot there also.

  this year would have been no exception since it was in the upper 80's and lower 90's since a few days here.. i can remember a couple of times when the temperature inside the olympic stadium in montreal was about 90f.

  I am happily DF'd and would never again want to be a JW, but, I was curious how elders decide when someone is ready to be reinstated?

  Repentance is a private matter between an individual and God, so at what point do the elders think the person is repentant enough to be reinstated?

  just curious.

  i get the impression from reading posts that a great deal are.

  i also noticed while i was studying with them that virtually everybody has/had a relative that was disfellowshipped or knew someone who is/was.
