There is no such thing as trickle down economics. No one has ever advanced or implemented it. Your own wikipedia entry contains its refutation as an economic policy. It is a straw man pejorative.

My country is sick
by sabastious inthis is a melancholy day for me.
over the past few years i have been studying american politics and have enjoyed learning perspectives from different ideologies.
i personally lean towards conservative values when it comes to creating legislature, however i am socially liberal.

Great post sab. Obama's Presidency is just a symptom.
At what point shall we expect the approach of danger?....Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa....could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years.
At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected...If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

The Man Who Saved the World - October 27, 1962 (bet U never heard of him)
by fulltimestudent inoctober 27, 1962. a soviet submarine was being bombed with depth charges by us warships who had detected the submarines presence in waters off cuba.. in the emergency the soviet submarine captain ordered a torpedo attack on the american warships.
problem was, the torpedo's were fitted with nuclear warheads.
the submarine could not contact moscow for authorisation.

My folks were on the island through all of this. Had things gone nuclear, Cuba would have been a smoldering pile of embers.

What is the most fun you can have as a JW without punishment or guilt?
by usualusername ini was just thinking of of the fun i had since leaving the jws and many things i have done since would fall foul of judicial action.. .
even inviting a female neighbour over for tea could have caused problems, which got me to thinking.
how much fun can you have as a witness guilt free?.

Nexus 7 would be high on my list for my next buy, but I prefer the larger 10" screens.

Cash (and by that I mean my own nation's currency).
Why?
Basically, at the point in time that I receive the $100,000, the cash and the gold are both worth exactly the same: $100,000.
However, I can more easily exchange cash for something else than I can with gold. I can walk out the door and do something with cash immediately. I can't walk into a store and buy something with gold. Gold I would need to convert to cash, for use, since it is not legal tender (and even if it is, the face value is far, far lower than the intrinsic value). I can flip all the cash to gold immediately if I so choose, or only a portion, while allocating the rest of the cash as I see fit. I can do that more easily with cash than with gold.
