cheers englishman!!!!

just arrived back in penryn at 1615hrs.

got stuck in the middle of nowhere a few times hitch hiking on the way back home.

Now I've managed to boot everyone of the computer and the coast is clear I can finally get to see what's been happening in jw.com-land for the last few days.

Well, what can I say invisible, other than you are a true friend. And thank you so so so much E'man and HL'ship for your hospitality! This weekend was awesome, it's fantastic to be with real people for a change, rather than Watchtower Androids!

I was a bit more subdued than I normally am I must admit; now I don't want you to think of me as being a standoffish sort of person or anything like that, it's just that this is all pretty new to me. As I said, I'm still on a learning curve, and my deprogramming is still at that initial stage!

i have spoken to some jehovahs witnesses who are not aware that i no longer believe in the religion.

there was shock and unhappiness about the panorama program, and concern about what they would have to face in the door-to-door ministry.

those that have been out report no real problems.

Your findings exactly match mine Dean, these are the reactions I've been getting as well. A lot of damage has been done, and the incompetence of the elders concerned just reinforces the viewpoint that they are not God's spirit directed organization, they are just like any other secular organization, with a mix of good and bad people just like any other, apt to make the same kinds of slip-ups. It's very sad to see them so confused.

The Meaning of Names....?

there are some that are obvious and then others that just baffle me to no end..... yes i am talking about your user names.... do any of you have stories behind them or are they significant for some reason or are they just a word you made up?.

mine...well its easy.... i got the nickname of spicy back in nov of last year when i dyed my hair this crazy red color and the name of the color was "spiced ginger".

the rest of it is because i love to make things more interesting---- sorta of like adding a bit of spice to the stew (hopefully i come across as that as well .

I'm glad you cleared that up, I thought it meant "bastard" in French, but now I've looked it up its a different spelling !

but what really shocks me now is that as a child i genuinely believed some of the most preposterous, stupid and moronic things ever committed to papyrus.. take the nephilim.

I've never had a nickname that I would ever want to be repeated, so I'm one of those really really boring people who use their real name. I prefer to be called Matt rather than Matty, but "Matt" was already taken by a fly-by-night poster some time ago.

Of misinformation and reliable reporting of facts

in times gone past and of late i have been getting increasingly worried about the amount of misinformation that is sometimes here represented within this community.

as a note to all posters, myself included in this, can we urge each other to make sure that what we are reporting is fact and not pie in the sky.. many more 'outside' parties are now taking an interest in these important issues and it does our collective credibility no good whatsoever if information is not properly reported or substantiated.

let us all stick to the facts and comment only on what we know to be true.

Most of the speculation about the resurrection is outrageous. I remember being told that Moses and Joseph and David and Elijah and geezers like them will need updating and educating to the ways of the truth when they come back as they didn't have the full light of God's word. If you are very fortunate you might get to study with them!

Another was when we have fulfilled the edict to "fill the Earth", we might either start populating other planets, or when God is happy with the present population, lose our gender and become androgynous. My tackle would suddenly shrink and disappear overnight, whoa!
