Birthdays & the Cult of the Diminished Indi...
by joelbear inyesterday was my birthday.
i got greetings from a number of friends from here in atlanta and also from people who had never met me from around the world since my birthday announcement was carried on a couple of the central bear pages on the internet.. there is clearly no prohibition against birthdays in the bible.
the reason the watchtower prohibits birthday celebrations is the same reason they discourage college, extracurricular activities in school, etc.

I don't know exactly, but the couple that I spoke to about the "Daily Manna and Birthday Record" had been in da troof since the mid thirties.

Faraon, I love the SAB too! It certainly made me think.
I also bought the spiritual paradise thing! I felt like everyone at the hall was looking out for me, supporting me. The camaraderie of witnesses has a bizarre strength to it, in that you can feel like it's there, but it's just a fantasy. I felt it at the convention, it's still there within me and that bond is difficult to break free of.
The Spiritual Paradise and New World Society brings the new order conditions that we look forward to right now in the congregations, almost as if Armageddon isn't needed. It's just as well isn't it?

I have spoken to a friend at Mill Hill bethel and he hasn't heard about it, although it wouldn't be unusual for the powers that be to keep this quiet from most of the befel boyz. A police raid doesn't have to involve bashing doors down and running through corridors like they do on The Bill (uk cop tv show). If something did happen it may take a day or so to filter through.
If anyone has any more information about this please post it!

I am too particularly interested in the "earthquakes happening in one place after another" dogma. I think you will find that the majority of witnesses have not picked up on this new "light". I heard the same old view reiterated in a public talk two months ago.
The ones that are not too convinced that we have had an epidemic of quakes on this planet since 1914 usually say stuff like, "this will probably have a major fulfilment later, perhaps during the great tribulation" to explain it away. It worries some greatly when there hasn't been a big quake for a while! When there is a report of a major tremor where much life has been lost, you can positively feel the relief and feeling of vindication amongst some!

she will be going under general anesthesia to have more biopsies done.. i know its always scary to "go under.
