I sat through both these service meeting items in my own hall trying not to let people see any change in my facial expression, even though it all just sickened me. Needless to say I did not answer up.

going in as a couple of "interested ones"...into a kh that i was reasonably sure i wouldn't be recongnized as the "uadna-ri" i went in with a hidden wire and tape recorder to get the "evidence".
on this site you will find links to 4 audio files... the first two are "the part", and the other two files are an audio clip of the "love bombing" attack we got when we left the first meeting, and the reading of a letter to "all congregations" concerning the discontinuation of subscriptions.. as with all jw things, it is interesting to hear the comments made by the speaker, things not written in the km, and views, attitudes, and references made when speaking of how to treat disfellowshipped family members.. all in all, i am glad we went on this misssion.

It was a dark and stormy night.....

i'm wondering if anyone has had similiar things happen.
the setting: i'm sick with a stupid cold and decided to sleep on the couch in the livingroom.

Congs Where Dubs Don't Go Door To Door..

the entire congregation does not go out door to door as such.
i know of such places in spain where there are congs made up of english speaking dubs who don't go out in the typical ministry.

Yes, new non-English congregations are being formed so regularly, I really can't keep up with it. Don't you think that if you are in a strange country, and have escaped from poverty and or oppression, you are more vulnerable to cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses? They are always so warm and friendly, not like the racist thugs in the estate they put me in, and wow, they've taken the time to learn my language, so they must be worth listening to!

lately i have been very dramatic and over sensitive to some things that have been posted and said in chat.. i am going through alot as i am sure most if not everyone here is on a daily basis.
i am not trying to make excuses,but i wanted to say i will make sure to not jump to conclusions so quickly and be more aware of what i say and how i come across.

Cool ISP! I understand that some of our buddies are meeting up today, unfortunately I missed that thread, but I wouldn't have been able to go anyway as I need to plan my excuses with a bit of notice!
Anyway, in case anyone is confused as to why there are so many French over here it's mainly because of (1) Bethel staff moving over to Mill Hill from France (they will be returning soon) and (2) Assylum seekers and other immigrants from French speaking African countries like Mali and Rwanda and Congo etc...

Many of my friends in London are now fluent Albanian speakers. Getting these poor people in the truth is much like shooting fish in a barrel, in fact they are pretty much responsible for the increase there, as English people have been leaving in droves.
The foreign language field is extrordinary now. For instance, about 10 years ago there was only 1 French language congregation in London, now there's a French language CIRCUIT!

God's channel withholding information
by ballistic inover the history of the watchtower society, they have published numerous medical articles with warnings of dangerous substances such as aluminium and others promoting quack medicines which never worked.
is it not strange, that the people choosen as "god's channel" would get these things wrong?
even stranger is the lack of information on truly dangerous substances.

Matty, have you got a major in flow of mail then?
No, not really major. I get a few one-offs from witnesses, sometimes hostile, sometimes asking advice, usually once a week or so. I've never had any follow-ups from any of the replies I've sent to lurkers, I guess I scare them off!

Cancer
by Sirona inyou might think i'm being picky here, please dont take this the wrong way.
the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.
