so... according to the wts, adam was created a little over 6,000 years ago.

after being created he was given the task of naming all the animals.

then eve was created, a talking snake got them to eat some fruit and the rest is history.... anyway.... how long did it take adam to name all the animals before the fairer sex was brought to him, undoubtedly distracting him from the heavenly chore set before him?.

I remember being a kid and hearing that BS story and thinking... ok 2 of everything and 7 of everything else... on a boat roughly the size of a football feild... even stacked in little square crates that couldnt be done. Not to mention the sheer weight of all the animals and food and water and whatever tooks Noah would have loaded onto the boat for after the flood...

Oh yea and then theres the whole thing on how it flooded the whole earth all at once... and how the dinosaurs died out at this time as well... i mean wow. At 8 years old I had figured out that little mystery.

i have never purchased lottery tickets in my life, but i have picked lottery numbers with someone in the past only one time.

he agreed to split the winnings if we win, but we didn't.

i am thinking about buying some lottery tickets, hopefully i will get very lucky.

I play every week and I am currently holding the winning ticket for this weeks 290 million dollar jackpot. They havnt drawn yet but im sure ill win. I can only hope that my winning ticket has the numbers 19-14 lined up in them. I would find that almost biblical. I plan on using a small portion of that 290 million dollars to launch a world wide media campaign against the WTBTS of NY INK. I will sink them. How much fun would it be for the headline across the planet to be EX JW Wins 290 Million Dollars....

I think the “Proclaimers” book was phased out or at the very least hidden on the top shelf out of reach when the internet came mainstream. I remember probably 15 years ago we would study it in chunks during the ministry school. After that and in more recent years, I don’t remember it being used or referenced that often.

Why?

The internet. 15 years ago most families, especially JW families did not have the internet at home. Maybe at school and work but for the most part not at home. Also anti JW websites were not as prominent as they are now. There were a few but not like there is now.

Basically the proclaimers book gave people just enough information on things like Beth Sarim, The Judge… and other nonsense to make them want to GOOGLE it.

This was actually one of the key things that caused my wife and I to run like hell. I googled WTBTS and specifically the term “Jehovah witness lies” one thing led to another and BAM here I am. Once you start stacking up the reasons why it is NOT the truth they quickly outweigh the reasons it IS the truth.

had 2 in my last congro.. 1 was trying sssooo hard to be an m.s we used to say he was brownoseing out (not reaching out) he would allways fall all over the c.o and hang around the elders like the bad smell he was.. another one was an m.s for years and brownoseing out to be an elder....him and his wife kissed every available arse,they used to make me sick when the c.o came around...he finaly made elder only to be removed 3 months latter.. .

Yep yep, brown nosers and ass kissers are rampant. Nepotism is also an everyday occurrence. I both benefited and suffered due to nepotism during my adventure in the JW’s.

I also witnessed people who were caught quite literally with their pants down or with a needle in their arms and due to who their family was they either got off the hook with a private reprove or public repeatedly. I know a guy who was public and privately reproved 3 times over about 18 months. This was because his grandfather greased the palms of the JC and then donated a hefty sum towards a needed remodel on the KH. In the end his grandson ended up with a bastard child and he even OD’d once and fried his organs as a result.

I’m generally against JC’s in general but they do have a place and can be of service for people needing a wakeup call.

my father in law's sow has been a pioneer for what...twenty plus years now?

she has yet to see any of her studies progress to baptism.

i know this is an excellent thing but to jw's you would think it would be tragic.

as referred to in this thread, ray franz's book crisis of conscience, arguably the most important book for ex jws to read - has been out of print for months but is available from amazon at $100+.. internet explorer, probably the most commonly used internet browser - is not compatible with this website.. most young jws probably access the internet via a smartphone but good luck trying to post to this website on one.. .

I would gladly pay $30 for a hard copy of the book, but paying $900 as some of the sellers are asking is quite ridiculous. Especially being that Mrs. Franz already earned her cut of the original sale of that copy of the book. Amazon sellers are effectively like a yard sale, the person who owns the publishing rights won’t get a dime from the sale. If she were to release it on Kindle people could even download the free kindle apps for Ipod/Ipad/Iphone or Mac/PC for FREE then buy and download the books and read it on them.

As far as downloading PDF’s for free being stealing from a poor widow…. Frankly the fact that there is not a steady supply of these books for sale at a reasonable price pretty much forces people to steal them. I tried to buy a copy of this book through amazon about a year ago and ran into the exact problem, only available through sellers and for a stupidly inflated price . I ended up borrowing it from a friend of a friend and then passed around to several more friends before it was returned, as far as putting money in Mrs. Franz’s pocket is concerned I could have downloaded a free PDF and she would have benefited from it just the same.

Also, Hassan's books are availible through amazon and from amazon. Combating Cult Mind Control is currently $11.41 from amazon.

I Sent Cynthia an email offering to track down info on how she coudl release the book in Kindal and Ipad format and I recieved the following reply:

Thank you for your kind suggestion.

Cynthia Franz has plans to expand the promotion her late husbands books in the future including e-books. I cannot give you a timeline as she has a number of projects to resolve first. I will make a note to notify you when I do have a timeline.

But alas my friends, I reached out to Mrs. Franz herself regarding getting more books in print or opening them up in the E fromat for Kindle and Ipads... and here is the reply I recieved:
