i don't see the watchtower's scholars of fame engaging with the world's religions or metaphysical discussions, why?

if fundamental christians, catholic and anglican church apologist are not afraid to debate topics with scientist, how come the people who claim to be "jehovah's only" don't share in the "thought of public ideas"?

We are in the midst of the Witnesses grappling with the fact we are in uncharted time now according to Watchtower Doctrine. There is no sense of urgency in any of the Congregations I visted! A few weeks ago I spoke with the friends, some even mentioned (some as young as 30 years old, they might not see the End!) they don't think we will see the End! I asked "Who do you think will see the End?" They had no answer, one old Elder cut me off and said "Hey, you know the End is right around the corner!", I kept this conversation focused while Turkey Chin Slob-Eat-A-Entire-Buffet-Elder tried to tilt the conversation away from the young Witnesses experessing doubts the End will come by 2100 or 2200 A.D. How is that? They are readily accepting the End is not coming in their great-great-great grandkids Generation while the Watchtower is pretending the End is just around the bend, something is going to have to break!

Frankie, I know you want people to wake up from their deep dark haze but it's not going to happen. I was disappointed hearing the youth readily accept defeat and say "We need to just sit back and obey the Slave, that's all that matters!" No, they did not say "We need to obey Jesus Christ and Jehovah God", how sick in the head is that? Obey the Slave over Jehovah is deadly and they will answer for that, they will have to speak up on Judgement why they had all the signs, signals they were in a Cult but refused to follow Jesus Christ. Sorry, but I don't think people are going to leave because it's more a very dysfunctional social club, a Club you join to make yourself fell better than some and worse than others. A Club where guilt and anxiety are spoon feed to each and every non-thinking Witness who is afraid to walk out the door and think for themselves, they are deeply stuck, the old-timers are the members that are suffering from Cognitive Dissoance, not the youth because they did not experience those terrible pains of 1975's lie!

Wow, the Elder has the attitude of a horrible business "Client-Customer Service Rep", he won't be getting a job handling a phone if fired by the Tower. This guy has not warm or fuzzy feelings, no empathy or trace of any humanity in his voice. Many of the victims of Pedophile Abuse had to speak to heartless Branch Elders, you think your Call was bad, imagine what it's like for a victim of sexual abuse to have to talk to compassionless Pharisees.

I hope you can move on with your life even if you have to leave your family behind, I have left all my family behind and have no regrets, I refuse to speak to calloused liars and crooks who don't worship the God of the Bible and lie about Jesus Christ.

Memorial compulsory for "respectful observers" ?

As JWs evolve, they become so far away from Early Christians and converge with the Pharisees and Religious Leaders of First Century Isreal, it's not funny!

What makes them different is their denial of Jesus Christ's blood to make all clean, they attack the writings of Paul by saying only the Watchtower Members who have been rubberstamped by them, are God's children. The biggest lie exposed, still they continue to believe and have no excuse before Jehovah when he is going to ask why they disrespected his Son, what will they say?

I think they would get destroyed, no way any Watchtower Experts could debate like Christendom's, for all the hot air and smoke the Tower blow's in it's members faces, you would think they would show what they are made of by debating the relevant topics people are concerned about instead of hiding in their Ivory Tower and when they do speak, it's only to the choir, they don't challenge the intellectuals of Society, why?

Islam is the perfect religon for people who desire to treat women like shit, their book says that "Hell is full of women", "Men were tricked by evil women", "Hell's population consists of unclean women", Mohammed did not like women other than using them for his sexual release. His hatred of women and making them worth less than a camel, if any group is in a state of Cognitive Dissoance, I would say it's educated Female Muslims because no amount brain power can explain why a highly educated female would join such a wicked religion that attack's woman the the root of all problems.

I might be wrong but the Cognitive Dissoance theory employed to understand the actions of the UFO Cult was how the leaders explained that "We prayed so hard and God heard our prayers, that's why he did not take the believers and destroy the Earth" Festinger's theory was based on the reactions of the true-followers, those who remained after hearing the half-truths and speculations of their leaders suffered from Cognitive Dissoance.

The followers who left because they could not believe anything said by their religious leaders did not suffer, they decided to cut their losses and live life as best as they could. Individuals who leave the tight grip of the Governing Body don't suffer from CD, it's all the Millions blindly obeying their leaders after being exposed the failures of their leaders. 1914, 1917-1919, 1925 (great decline), 1975 (massive declines and disgruntled dissidents rightly challenge the false prophets.).

How would CD force people to leave the Organization in massive droves?
