  It's DC Season (Conventions)

  tell me what you enjoy (or miss) the most at district conventions that get (or got) you thru them.. i like seeing what people are wearing, especially the females with super high-heel "stripper" shoes.

  but i dread getting beat up and ran over by jws trying to get "good seats"..

  I miss the pudding too. And apple danishes in the morning. I'm dreading going this year, although I'd love to hear what they'll say about "apostates".

  People lying about their experiences in symposiums. Same questions....same answers. Brothers' voices going up into climatic pitches as they introduce new literature...or dvds.

  And every year at the KH a sister (most-likely) will say "oh that was so encouraging, it was the best Convention yet. I teared up at the end because I didn't want to leave" Really? GTFOH!

  I have a feeling, this will be my last year going to a DC...

  i think patti labelle is too much of a screamer when she "sings".. i don't think jerry seinfeld is all that funny.. i'm just not into george clooney.

  been married for almost two decades now, and still luvs the woman!!

  anyways, her and her family had a trip planned to a theme park this weekend, out of state.

  i have known about it for a while and used work as an excuse not to go.

  It'll be okay. You didn't really lie since you WILL BE doing some work. I do the same things sometimes. While she's away, I'll clean up...do work that I need to get done....watch some R-Rated movies, you know.. "guy stuff!"

  i was just thinking about this the other day.

  it seems that people, both non-jw's and believe jw's, have this sense of emptiness inside of them.. maybe its because of the technology?

  or maybe its because people catch on to bullshit quicker then they did say, 30 plus years ago?.

  that is true. Leave a mag with a householder...they go on the internet later...see the REAL TRUTH...and think "Oh no! no way Jose!"

  If anyone ever comes to the door and say "I went online and found some disturbing things about the JWs" I'll say "Oh really!?? Do tell." :)

  GB becoming more angry!

  flipping through the wt and other artices it strikes me how angry the governing body is becoming and how they are using insulting words to describe anyone who "rocks the boat".. words such as diseased and vindictive are common place now and so petty.. it seems to me that these men may be allowing personal feelings to overcome their spiritual role that they are supposed to live by.. i have been out of the truth for 17 years and it is clear to me that they have lost the plot.. look at the generation flip flop.

  why not just say, "brothers, we have no clue and therfore no clue about anything that has been taught".

  assuming the role of jesus on earth is something no one should do as one look at corinthians clearly states that "gifts of prophesying would be done away with" in other words god said i will tell you not you me.. anyone else feel that the gb is angry?.

  People have less patient these days for Bullcrap. Bad Economy, Natural Disasters...just trying to survive and put food on the plate. I've seen a lot of Witnesses (active) having an "I could care less about what's in this Watchtower article"...young ones and even the adults (20 - 50's age range). You can see it in their Facebook posts (and pics), musical tastes, attitude out in FS (taking 1 or even 2 breaks to starbucks or riding around). Even those that are DF'd get nods and waves ...at meetings as if to tell them..."yeah it is all crap anyway, you'll be back soon then we can have our fun"

  Would be nice if this group of GBs will be the last!...time to start talking about "THESE LAST DAYS" again and the many Dangers out there.

  JW teenagers party's

  i fondly remember my teenage days as a jw--back in the 1960's.. circuit assemblies-in birmingham, england uk.

  after the sunday afternoon god-fest there was usually a party--somewhere--in the evening.. one of the lads--his parents were care-takers (janitors?

  ) of an office block in the city centre.

  I knew a guy who rented a place and had a live DJ, alcohol...great music. No elders at all. Word got back and he was "corrected" in his thinking of how appropriate parties should go. Even told him that if someone had too much alcohol and committed fornication later that night, he could be held responsible for it also. Only in the organization can a grown man over 25yrs of age be counseled about a party where only 21yr olds and above were invited to.

  My question is ... Don't they know that many times, humans tend to DO things they're told NOT TO DO...especially things that are taboo or that raises curiosity? Like the song goes.... "It's CLOSING TIME..." This is the information age. INFORMATION!!! they cannot stop it. I'm praying someone does a Documentary about how deceitful the "Organization" really is. Put all of the contradictions out there...the "wishy washiness", the pedos, the divorce rate, the pressure to record time spent knocking on doors whether you want to or not.

  "Will Humans Ruin The Earth?" --- Yeah...b/c even the WTBTS is destroying trees so they can have paper to print a bagillion magazines while everyone else is trying to go paperless!
