finally decided to create an account to see whether you could all help me.. so i am engaged to this wonderful wonderful man and in three months time we'll be married.

Simple and plain. He will most-likely cave in and tell the Elders EVERYTHING. I've seen it dozens of times, although it is rare for a "man" to have this much guilt on his shoulders, but...oh well. Because you are a sister and you are both engaged to one another, your punishment...because there will be a sentencing (LOL) ...will only be "private reproof". You may be restricted from commenting at the meetings until after your wedding, and he will most-likely not be able to comment or carry microphones, man the soundsystem etc. for as long.

NOW - since you're having doubts about the ORG...I must ask you to consider all of this very seriously. You could get married and regret it, eventually being labled an apostate and being DF'd somewhere down the line with him resenting you wishing he had never done those "sexy things" with you and Jehovah, or Satan, is now paying him back for that night with...well...YOU. OOOOOR, you can call off the wedding, which is less painful than divorce, fade from the society, and live a happy life free from guilt.

at the convention, hearing that crap was so ridiculous....i struggled to keep the smirk off of my face. 3 or 4yrs in a row, they've dedicated a symposium in part to "APOSTATES"...and all they do is spew bullshit. Also, ... it's funny how there are never any "ex-apostates" giving experiences. Because if you're smart enough to become an apostate...you do NOT go back.

did anyone watch the nbc program "rock center" last night?

it dealt with scientology defectors and the stories, (shunning, tax-exempte etc) sounded very much like the watchtower/jehovah witnesses!.

i sat with my family...and there was dead silence throughout the report.

don't worry, I've sent Elders letters and links to various articles about property-selling, pedophiles, the blood issue, contradiction from WT articles, links of youtube vids to more places... CNN, MSNBC, FOXnews, CBS, our local news where I live, the New Yorker magazine and I'm still not done. Trying to get in touch with some docu-directors and an old school-mate who's now a producer for FOX (American Idol, and Fox Sports) to see if he can give me any further direction. BBC's Panorama is another one.

I just sent a loooooong a$$ email to them in hopes that they reach out to our valiant and brave ex-JW comminity (of various sites and forums) to build a story on the Watchtower Society and the shady Governing Body and how those that want to get out are treated.

Maybe others will follow suit.

Have a great weekend. All weekend I plan on doing this for various TV/Cable networks and news magazines. I hope my telling them that the Shepherd the Flock, Letters to the BOEs that abound whet their appetites. I'd love to send them everything I've saved from all of you that have contributed to the cause.

Was heartbreaking to say the least. they go a bit further than the WT Society, but I think hopefully, many will start waking up if more stories about cults are done. Imagine the hits and searches on the web for information on Scientology now...really since the Tom and Katie split. Mitt Romney running for president had me searching to learn more about Mormons and their ex-members too.

Loved how (on Rock Center) it was said that members are not allowed to even "READ ANYTHING CRITICAL" of Scientolgy.

Did anyone watch the NBC program "ROCK CENTER" last night? It dealt with Scientology defectors and the stories, (shunning, tax-exempte etc) sounded very much like the Watchtower/Jehovah Witnesses!

I sat with my family...and there was DEAD SILENCE throughout the report. I KNOW the wheels were turning. No JW that watched that could've done so without recognizing the comparison to the organization.

I'm currently researching a way to PLEAD with the program as well as other media to do similar pieces on the Watchtower Society! IT's TIME!

under the subtitle "avoid the world's spirit", after mentioning the accounts of korah, abiram and dathan (complaining agains moses)..paragraph 6 states .... "some in the first century also became critical of those entrusted with authority in the congregation, "disregarding lordship.

" (jude 8) these men likely were dissatisfied with their privileges and tried to influence others against appointed men who were conscientiously carrying out god-given duties.

I think this is timely since there are plenty (i'm sure) of persons baffled and confused by the recently "New Light" about the FDS. This article helps them to be quiet and "respect the authority" - which are the FDS aka GB and their elder minions.

paragraph 7 makes such statements....

"Elders may make mistakes that affect us personally. If that happens, how inappropriate it would be for any member of the congregation to react according to the world's spirit, vehemently demanding "justice" or that "something be done about this brother"! Jehovah may choose to overlook certain minor failings. Can we not do the same? Because of what they perceive as defects in the elders, some who engage in serious wrongdoing in the congregation have refused to appear before a committee of elders assigned to help them. This could be likened to a patient who loses out on the benefits of a treatment becasue he does not like something about the doctor."

Yes, should make for a great meeting. The GB is letting folks know who's the boss. and that avoiding the Elders judgments or being as critical of elders and the GB as they are of you, makes you a wickit person full of the spirit of the world!!!

How DARE some of you refuse to show up at a JC hearing! LOL

Encounter with two elders last night

i realized recently that this was the start of a new service year (read: fi$cal year), so of course i figured it was possible the elders would make their usual rounds and show up uninvited.

it hadn't occurred to me that they would approach me as i was picking up my family from the meeting last night.

as i was getting my daughter situated, the chairman of my judicial committee says, "hey!

Did you face a JC or just leave/write a letter? You are one of the lucky ones. You seem reasonable (to pick up the family from the Hall and all)...they shouldn't be pesty.
