TELL US, please, are you Pre or Post--Enlightenment in your thinking?
by Terry inbefore the age of enlightenment the earth was filled with many nations living under vastly differing beliefs about the world.. .
tribes, nations and empires possessed fanciful superstitious beliefs about their own importance in the big picture.. .
religion helped man find a place among fearful gods and demons.

Ha ha sounds good, BTW I'm definitely post enlightenment I have passed the stage where my thoughts and feelings about WT have turned to rage and not a single drop of guilt or hesitancy about whether I'm right or wrong. The only thing nagging me these days is the arguments in my head trying to devise the perfect way to awaken someone. Mine was helped by extreme grief due to loss of a family member just over a year ago. So it's true an episode of distress can wake you from mind control. It certainly did with me!

Confidential Materials!
by Atlantis inall documents of important nature such as, our kingdom ministry, boe letters, forms, or other materials will now be sent only by email or private message communications.
they will not be posted out here on the board.
if someone else wants to post them, be my guest.. .. we have no other choice in this matter, and sending out confidential documents is better when it is done privately.

I'm surprised they haven't devised a way to put serial numbers or bar codes on letters with info where they are headed that only show up when copied like bank checks. Maybe they will devise something but if it surfaced boy would it make a great news story of their paranoia.

Does Anyone View You As A "Prodigal Son" With The Hope You Will Come Back To Jehovah?
by minimus ini know some have thought that about me.
my family used to but i think that hope is dwindling now..

I was lost, then found, now I'm lost again. ( in their mind). After a public talk I gave a little over a year ago one family member declared it a modern day miracle that I got back in and actually stood up and gave public talks.
I do remember when I was out before being happier away but got sucked back in. Now I'm out for good. So far having a good fade.
Only headache is dealing with a pushy mother who declares its the truth and we are so close to the end but when I try to make a point about WT flaws she shuts down like a perfect drone.

Would a JC turned violent get any publicity or covered up?
by Lied2NoMore inlets say you meet with a jc and in the midst of it you snap because you feel intimidated or bullied and start swinging chairs at the heads and limbs of elders and actually break bones or send one into a coma or worse accidentally kill one of them.
you think they would press charges?
think they would be advised by legal to keep it quiet to avoid negative publicity?

My ultimate wish would be to see the WT sued into non existence but so many say they can't be touched legally. Next best option in my mind is to fight tyranny with violence and make sure it gets publicity. I have been asked multiple times by elders to meet with me because they are worried about me and want to encourage me. I always answer "no" but they keep pressing. I'm getting so sick of them asking last time one asked I said if they can't respect my wishes things will turn violent...and I meant it. BTW I am taller and broader than most football linemen so intimidation works well when I need it to.

You think they would press charges? Think they would be advised by legal to keep it quiet to avoid negative publicity? You as the attacker could be quite vocal if interviewed. Could identify the JC process of JWs as secretive and unjust. Could do quite some damage and stir up some dirty issues the WT would rather see unexposed. I think WT would want it silenced and you just got some free unpunishable licks on some company men!

My Baptism Story
by DT ini have been thinking about how the events surrounding my baptism may be of some interest to this board, so here is my story.. i began to talk about baptism when i was seven, but nobody took me seriously.
i let the matter drop until i was ten.
i was persistent this time so arrangements were made for the elders to go over the questions with me.. at the time, it was customary for baptismal candidates to study the live forever and united in worship books.

REPOSTED FROM OTHER THREAD:
Here is my true baptism story and I'm gonna try to convince elders my baptism was invalid. I was 16 and went thru questions. After last set of questions the elder told me he didn't recommend me to get baptized at that time. But he did say I could make my own choice. During the stand for two questions oath I realized I had not made a prayerful dedication to Jehovah. So, I never said yes to either question. I was scared and embarrassed and wondered if I should skip baptism but feeling too much pressure so I took the dunk. I think I could make a case for not following direction of organization and going thru with dunk under duress makes my baptism questionable or entirely invalid. Someday I will make my case with a secret camera ala ray publisher
IT SEEMS ODD WT THINKS BAPTISM GIVES THEM LEGAL RIGHT TO RUN YOUR LIFE. IN REAL LIFE YOU NEED TO BE LEGAL AGE TO SIGN A CONTRACT BUT IF YOU SPLASH IN WT HOLY WATER AT ANY AGE IT'S A LEGAL CONTRACT TO THEM

Make Them Prove That You Were Baptized!
by VM44 inthis might not work for everyone, but it might for some.. if a person faces disfellowshipping, the person should make the elders prove that they are baptized!.
as far as i know, baptism records are not sent to bethel.. without two witnesses to the event (and the witnesses have to remember seeing the person immersed), and no photos, there would be no proof.. if someone did this, the elders would of course contact bethel for instructions, but what could they do?.
it would put a stop to the elders proceeding with any action..

@jeandeau...love the idea, although I may have to do some back pedaling on some comments I have made to various ones critical to WT. I would love the outcome if I played this out in entirety. Especially the legal ramifications for WT if the decided to Eff with me
