I have been wondering too, James. I have a cousin coming to town next week and a dinner has been arranged with JW and nonJW family. She previously cancelled a visit with her brother and myself after a convention came down hard on associating with fader relatives. Will anxiously await your update.

"The Bunker" WT Conventions 2016 (Gag Me)

in the very near future the gang will be down in a bunker,cellar awaiting the police,military to break in and take them away to camps or executions .

(paranoid much) this is the foretold "prophecy" of the governments turning on religion and saving them for last.since the couple portrayed as simplifying their life by getting rid of a lot of material things is shown to be (about) the same age in the bunker we know it must be any minute now that it will happen.

i have been out for over 35 years and things seem to be getting more bizarre each year.. when did this doctrine really become main stream?

Almost makes me wish one would come to my door so I could say, "I'm not really interested in your message, but thank you, you must be very brave to come out of your bunker long enough to bring it to me."

i bought a nearly new 7-speed bicycle at a yard sale for $30 last weekend and took it out this morning on our paved local bicycle/walking trail.

the last time i rode was in my early- to mid- twenties when i used a bicycle to get to and from the kh for my pioneer service.

I am fortunate in that my neighbor in the suburbs is perfect for bicycling or walking. I have one small hill that I can finally pedal up after a month or so of riding. Funny too, you don't realize that a street has a slight incline until you try to cycle up it! Hope you are wearing a helmet too! Have fun and I think it's true, you never forget how to ride a bike.

Prince: frustration and relief

i haven't posted in a long time, but all this news re: prince has brought up alot of "stuff" for me.

having been a born-in 3rd generation until being disfellowshipped, losing all of my family and friends i had since birth in one big go, i find myself going between frustration, and honestly some feelings of resentment, and ...relief...regarding prince (who, by the way, i am not disparaging personally, just, as most of us know, he would have been held up as the perfect example of what not to be by the watchtower organization and the double-standard/hypocrisy is rather stunning).

resentment/frustration, due to my personal experiences and those of many i knew.

Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately sometimes unless a person is directly impacted by something, they will never wake up. But this whole thing with Prince, well it boggles the mind how this can't help but to lead some with a modicum of thinking ability left to question the double standard.
