What sir82 said, only more likely to "stick in his craw (throat), meaning be difficult or impossible to accept; be a source of continuing annoyance. Makes me think of the stories told on here of elders passing by df ones walking to a KH in the rain or with children. Such love.

Oh the irony! The elder, a car accident, and me....
by stuckinarut2 inoh this is just worth sharing!.
so , as many know, it has been two years since i have attended any meetings, conventions, etc....nothing...cold turkey.. the hassles and problems the elders threw our way were monumental....so many details i could share, but suffice it to say, we stood firm and kept our dignity and poise and reminded them of "appropriate boundaries ".
one elder in particular has since spared no effort in ensuring that malicious gossip and slander has been spread so that witnesses have avoided us like the plague!.

It was embarrassing and awkward at the least. I hated it in high school, and standing out in the hallway each Monday morning when the national anthem was played. One thing I don't understand about all this recent stuff is, isn't taking a knee a sign of respect anyway? What's the brouhaha? Does not a man sometimes propose on bended knee, don't people pray on bended knee, doesn't the Christmas song say "fall on your knees?" I think these athletes are sending a message while at the same time showing respect.

Well ok, never f***ing mind. Game just started against 2nd place Detroit, 2nd pitch our #2 starter gets hit in hand by a screaming ball, possible broken bone. Now we have 2 starters done for season as well as our catcher and all star outfielder Brantley. Bye, bye. I will root for the Cubbies!

Well good for your Cubbies. Now if my Cleveland Indians can hang on and win their division....but this is Cleveland and there is no lead they can't blow. Wouldn't it be something if the Cubs and Indians were in the World Series, then we could see whose curse is broken, the curse of the Cubs goat or the curse of Cleveland's Rocky Colavito. GO TRIBE!

This family is no doubt spending their vacation visiting Bethell. Look at that poor little boy in a suit and tie. Think he would rather be in swim trunks and flippers at a water park having a real vacation?🏄

Good job. Dropping just one news item would do more to get them to look something up, rather than arguing any doctrine or flip flops they have made. By the way, are you in the U.S.? There is a heat wave everywhere here and she left her kids in a van? Windows down or not, not a good idea!🌞

Elders harassing me
by raven inhi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

Hang in there. It's sad, but your mother cares more about the brownie points she is making with the elders than her relationship with you. You have moved far away and cut ties with those people, why does she feel obligated to tell them anything at all about you. If anyone would ask about you, all she would have to say is you are doing well and leave it at that. She has betrayed you by giving them personal information. Good for you with the decision to NOT give her your new address. If the elders keep this up, if you do consult an attorney, have them add a stalking charge while they are at it. Be strong, be thankful you have a good BF (hopefully) and make new friends, do good things with your life. 🌈
