I actually met the girl because Charter was marketing their program heavily to JWs in Texas, and at that time my wife was interested in becoming a psychologist. I attended some of their group therapy sessions, and I remember meeting Starla, (the girl who hung herself)
as well as some other poor unfortunate JWs who were there for a long stay. I still remember this one JW man saying, "We've got to hang on just a little while longer. It's close. The generation is almost gone, so IT'S GOT TO BE CLOSE" (referring to Armageddon/New World arriving). I wonder how he dealt with "the new light" on that.
