There is more here than differing opinions. There is tension and friction that has nothing to do with what people believe or do not believe.

I simply do not understand why just a very few atheists on this board feel the need to protest and justify their atheism whole mocking the beliefs of those who have a faith.

What I said in regard to the pronunciation of TSO is actually correct, take it or leave it.

You pronounce it exactly as it is written. TSO. The T and the S are sounded together, as we do when we. Say "it's".
And then just O as in the O of surprise.
Like ts at the end of any word, as in stats. Perhaps with a bit of an emphasis on the S, and you'll have it right, just the one syllable.
And the S is soft. Not like a Z. Bit of a hiss to it, but only a tiny bit.

Since there never was a battle anyway, and so no need for a truce, it's very good to get even a hint that those very few atheists who wanted to attack the faiths of others seem to have decided that, after all, they can be just like everyone else and let others believe or not as they choose.

Bohm, there are not one but two new forums. One, Shelby's one, is open to anyone and everyone and all are welcome...I think you got the wrong end of the stick there, Q! You can't have read as much as you say if you missed that welcome to everyone.
ElderE! Which bit of AGuest's post can possibly have led you to say she was "chastising" Q? Was it the bit where she said "No-one cares if you come visit...except maybe you"? This is how myths are created. I can't see one word of chastisement there...which bit sounded chastising to you? The other forum, bohm, is secret, closed and private. You can't look in. It's locked, unless you are invited. That's the atheist forum. You could of corse ask New Chapter, the forum's owner, if you can join and then you can look at both forums and see which you think is angry and which not, and which is more to your taste.
I'm in the fortunate position of having experienced both, because ElderE very kindly invited me to NC's, and I was there for a couple of months or so, maybe a little longer. So I know both, and it was the negativity in one that prompted me to check out the other to see if it was as bad as I was being told. I am now enjoying the openness of Shelby's forum and also the company there. The facts speak for themselves. Why not try it out and see?

Catching up with what transpired here overnight, I learn that you read extensively in Shelby's forum! Hope you enjoy it! It would be far too far a stretch of the imagination to think that you won't put your own interpretation on it and then broadcast your version, and you have not disappointed! Enjoy your own version if you need to. Did you see how we are all chuckling over the thought of being Shelby's followers?
What makes you think that anyone venerates what Shelby might say as the...what was it?...oh yes, the "words of Jhat"? LOL!
Hey, if it makes you happy, Q, think anything you want! Just remember that although you can put your own meaning onto things and tell others, those others, by which I mean all those quiet people who look in curiously at this thread and never post, can also look in on Shelby's forum, where anyone is welcome, and see how things really are.
It is so silly, one can only smile. I feel I want to exclaim, indulgently, bless you! But then you seem to be unable to distinguish a real blessing, so you wouldn't really understand it as it is said. Hey! You might even think it angry....there are some frequent posters here who can read the most amused words....maybe they just can't "get" the British tongue-in-cheek, dry, throw-away way of speaking, all the nuances just miss them completely...but never mind....and interpret them as angry! For goodness sake!
Have they never heard of the mirror effect? It is very, very apparent with some posters.
