  Did you ever shun someone close? How did you feel?

  how does a jw feel when he "has" to shun someone he likes/loves?.

  during the time i was in, i shunned people.

  but as i didn't like them, it was no problem.. but now, i'm trying to understand how my family might really feel.. (i presume here, of course, that they do "like/love me".).

  JLP,I never shunned anyone, I would have talked to anyone and nobody would have stopped me, I think that JW,s that are supposed to be shunned, do themselves a great dis-service, THEY segregate themselves, if you go to engage them in conversation, they practically run away from you, because they are desperate to appease the elders. So even if you attempt dialogue, they run away. It wasnt my fault they were shunned it, it was there own fear, they Isolated themselves.

  The R/F JW,s were/ are arseholes because they fear the Elders, I despised them (present company excluded).

  Transexual starts a study...what happens next??

  so my mother was telling me that a transexual, don't know if she's pre or post op (nobody does apparently), has started attending meetings and started a bible study.. she answers up in meetings and has been attending a few weeks.

  apparently she looks very much like a woman but has a distinctive masculine voice.

  i asked my mother what will happen?

  I've Decided That It'll Be Best For Me To Return To The Kingdom Hall.

  after carefully evaluating the my current life situation, i've come to the conclusion that returning to the hall will be best for me.

  i simply just don't fit in with the rest of the world.

  i don't drink, smoke, have sex, go to clubs, listen to worldly music, watch movies, or gamble.

  If I had a shit job, perhaps felt a little intimidated and socially isolated at work, maybe lacked friends for support and encouragment, I too would look back at more peacefull times, but that will only serve to mask what I feel you need to do, start by getting assertive, (no guns please ) If you feel that you are numerically outnumbered,you may have to leave or take your concerns to someone higher up, but one way or another dealing with the issues your facing at work, will help big time. Just going to a KH, is not going to alter the fact that when, back at work your really pissed off, you need to deal with that, Why dont you post here with a little more detail on what has happened at work ? what you have done already to resovle this ? then WE can give you advice further to assist you with your work situation,Cheers.

  Sit on your hands eat anything but DONT give in, get aggresive, scream go apeshit drink alcohol, the cravings WILL GO. This is the one thing im glad i did, got a perverse pleasure in confronting my nicotene Demons. SEX will be MUCH BETTER, hold onto that !!!
