Can't get work after pioneering
by ekruks ini was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and can advise me?.
like many here, i was bought up as a jw, with full-time service (bethel, pioneer) the only career option held out in front of me.
i wanted to take a government loan and go to university, but was forced not to, labelled 'materialistic'.. i became a pioneer / window cleaner - round here, almost all pioneer brothers window clean, unless they are retired or have a rich daddy.

Fear of Dying
by snare&racket ini was thinking about how to explain to a family member how i have no fear or issue with not living in a paradise earth etc.
they dont believe i left the jws for good reason, they think like every jw that i must be bitter about the religion or something.. .
i am an atheist and for many reasons i dont fear death, but i was trying to think of a way to explain it from a jw perspective when it hit me...... it doesnt matter.. option a: do t believe in god and believe that i will die and there will be eternal nothingness.

Option A: do t believe in god and believe that i will die and there will be eternal nothingness
Option B believe there is a god based on the bible, and declare war on this god as he is an evil dictator demanding worship and sacrifice. He commanded genocide, slavery, racism, incest, infanticide, homophobia, sexism etc etc etc for this ...... He will throw me in a lake of fire where i will die and.... Experience eternal nothingness.
A=B ...... There will never be a paradise for me.

26% drop in auxiliary pioneers in "special month" between 2011 and 2012
by sir82 ini don't recall seeing this posted on this board before, my apologies if the topic is duplicated..... in april 2011 and march 2012, the gb made a "loving provision" to allow jws to sign up for the auxiliary pioneer work with only a 30 hour requirement instead of the usual 50 hours.. in 2011, in the usa, about 500,000 signed up to be auxiliary pioneers.. in 2012, per the august 2012 km, only about 370,000 signed up.. that's a 26% drop in just 1 year!.
granted, in many parts of the us, the march weather is far worse than april's.
but on the other hand, there were 5 saturdays in march 2012 - you could get your "time in" with 5 long saturdays and nothing else.. .

I was in the same boat, did you get good GCSEs? If you have B for maths and english. Go sign up for an access course. You can become a doctor,lawyer..... Anything you want. Dont have the GCSEs? Spend this year doing them in your spare time as you wont be able to start an access course for 12 months anyway.
Once you get accepted for university, thats your food, housing, clothing and most importantly future sorted.
I went from being useless to the job market (pioneer, windows, bethel) and thanks to education I am now not far off being a doctor.
There is no secret to good employment. Some jws get there by knowing other jws with a business. In the real world its all about experience or education, education, education!
If this seems too much or you, I understand. But in todays job market, education is an advantage and the WT have a lot of poor youngsters struggling in western countries unnecessarily because of their lies and misintepretations about education.
There are jobs out there that you can walk into. Any big hospital in he uk has a nurse bank. You will do about 2 weeks training, then you can start as an auxillary nurse or healthcare assisstant. The money is good, its secure and you can choose your hours. Go to your hospital reception and ask for the contact details for the nurse bank.
So many ppl at bethel leave with a diagnosis of ME etc. the truth is that the society burn their youth out. Menialjobs require more hours to financially survive, pioneering is a big ask, the life at the bethel factory is constant and hard work. The cleaners are on their knees with toothbrushes for goodness sake. These ppl are intelligent and decent people, potential doctors, nurses, architects, dentists, journalists, economists.... Cleaning sinks.
The JWs are ranked the LOWEST PAID and not suprisingly LEAST EDUCATED of recorded religious denominations. Do yourself a favour buddy, leave and take care of yourself.

Genesis has no connection to the findings of modern science.
Chronology and Length of time: The bible gets the order for the formation of the universe and everything on earth not only SPECIFICALLY in the wrong order but also by any figuritive reckoning in a wrong time scale.
Adam and Eve: The two creation accounts contradict each other WITHOUT ARGUMENT. Not only is this the case, the order of animal introduction and the claimed naming of the animals is all nonsense and untrue, despite once believed to be the exact accounting of events. Adam and Eve cold not have existed. The formation of man from clay is from Sumeria and ignores the long ancient ancestors of man. Skin is not made of dust or clay as some religions claim and no, men do not have one less rib than women. It is all incorrect. Even the idea of Eden is wrong. Adam would have to be redesigned and rebuilt after the formation of Eve. The animals, had they lived peacefully together, would require complete redesign from the DNA up, once allowed to kill and eat each other. The changes would require a complete renewed creation of animals. This is NOT evidenced in any scientific findings.
Eden: the bible specifies where Adam and Eve are, somwhere near modern day Iraq = wrong, humans originated in africa.
The Bible specifically dates Adam at approx 6000 years ago. Yo can pretend that the geneology presented is figuritive, but only you believe that. We have civilisations older than this, cities, languages, jewelry, clothing, farming equipment.... nevermind human remains over 100 thousand years old.
The Genesis account is not an old one. It is a recent combination of lots of older beliefs. To say that it has any connection to science is pure fiction. It would be laugable, only that someone may read your words and believe you.
Where are the dinosaurs, yeah the world dominators that lived for 150 million years !!!!!!!!!!! 60 million years ago !!!!! What a coincidence that we have only known about dinosaurs for 150 yrs and there is no word in Genesis about them..... funny that . ?
Where are the walking, communicating, tool making, home abiding, community based Neanderthals? Homo Erectus? and many more.... where are they in the bible?
Take your bible to the natural history museum and see if you can find verses to explain ANYTHING you find.

Satan said... no, think for yourself. YOU can decide good and bad for yourself !
