Why do humans suffer
by StephaneLaliberte inwhile talking with my wife, it occurred to me that the jws idea of why humans suffer doesnt make sense.
the idea is that humans suffer so as to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they cannot rule themselves.. now, the bible states that satan is the ruler of this world.
so just how letting time pass by supposed to answer the question about the humans ability to govern themselves when they dont govern themselves?

by Faithful Witness inmy jw (converts of about 5 years) came over on thursday and ate a turkey dinner with us.
we didn't call it thanksgiving, but that was obviously what it was.
they were proud to give me my own copy of the new revised and improved nwt bible.

Hey cant leave,
I am on GP rotation in my home town, so I have JW's on my mind. Just finished some course work too and trying to wind down my brain.
Also I have exam results tommorow..... For my first set of medical finals and last ever practical exams..... So my mind is a little busy despite it being 4am.

They are making their own rules, they can smell that the world has had enough of 'fundementalists' and they have decided that believing that the earth is 6000 years old is what dictates this, they refer to these people as 'creationists'.... Ironic because if I asked the average JW if they were creationists I am sure they would say yes.
The watchtower are setting up straw men and making their own definitions for fundementalism, extremism and creationists etc. The same article was on their old jw.media site for journalists to look at under 'are we fundementalists'. They also said only people who believe the whole bible to be taken as literal are extremists and that they dont. Again the average JW would be shocked at them saying that. Watchtower are being sneaky, the journalist looking at JWmedia would read that, thinking it meant they didnt take all the bible literally as they stated.... BUT watchtower were just being naughty, sneaking in the sentence with the small print that some of the bible is prophetic and not literal. BUT for me, the fact that WT were being so deceitful means they know what they are doing and know that they are being extreme BUT dont want that perception, they were protecting the brand.
They can wordplay all day long, but they are fundementalists and they are extremeists and they are creationists.
Says alot that they think they can re-define terminology as they wish, just who do these walking ego's think they are?

also, once humans decided to rule themselves, the biblical god made them imperfect and inclined to do wrong and sin, also he made life difficult and childbirth treacherous.... Hardly a fair test of human rule, god bodged the experiment to make them fail... IF you decide to believe this ancient Jewish myth.
So why do humans suffer?
Do animals suffer? Animals attack each other, animals suffer the same illness and disease as humans.
Animals fight for territory and for dumb issues such as alpha male contol as seen in humans.
Life would not be diverse without genetic mutations, but genetic mutations also cause disease.
The planet is great for life, but a bit of knowledge explains alot. We cant live without water so unsurprisingly we live near water as do animals, that we eat. So we all congregate around water. Water regions often are formed at tectonic meeting points making them somewhat treacherous. This along with huge population growth in these regions, huge tall buildings and populations in less surface area AND 24 hr news = apparent mass human suffering when we have natural disasters, wars, conflicts, disease.
I dont have time to spend to cover all of this in detail, but you get the idea... knowledge is power and our Watchtower education was devoid of so much information amd therefore also self empowerment. But we live in a society that thankfully respects knowledge for its empowering nature, so go get the books out and enjoy finding your answers buddy xxx

Indeed blue eyes, it is a hard and bitter pill to swallow.... But its reality. When examimng your belief systems, be it Wt or Islam or Mormonism or Catholisism etc, one must decide whether they hold comfort or truth on high?... It isn't easy if you choose truth.
As for definitions of apostacy etc, these are words in someone elses game, not mine. I find people make their own rules up dependant on the game they are playing. For me, I do not use such terminology, it is used to incite fear and control In my opinion. But then I chose TRUTH over comfort.

The logic the WT use is flawed.... We dont want to die therefore it is logical to say it is unnatural and that we were meant to love forever.
this is so dumb, our biology dictates that we dont want to die, otherwise we would not survive as a species,
For those that want to narrow it down to basics...
Do animals want to die? Are animals to live forever?..........EXACTLY!
We are machines and need energy, for us to live forever, we would consume energy, to live forever is to deny another human the right to live becuase there is finite energy and space. WE can live forever through our genes, our offspring, we can let them live.
