your son never reached out to get baptized.. then the other elder said: don't worry, you still have one left that will be saved.

Please....trust me..... it doesn't take long, do the NT books of the apostles MMLJA.
Read them as you would read any book, not as individual verses like WT have you do. Watch the bible transform in front of your eyes into a very different book. Watch the charachters become very different to the people you were told they were.
Best way to make a christian an atheist, make them read the bible. It worked a treat with me! The NT is so far removed from the principles and actions of Watchtower and mot religions, it is impossible to read it and not repeatedly say out lous "oh my goodness, we have a problem here!"

that was a comment at the wt study program.
another great comment was this: " you can go to bethel and have zero skills.

A medieval question for you, if you believe in god....
by snare&racket inmany ancient believers of god used cognition to 'think' their way from belief to atheism.
what initially seems a silly question to reason over, can actually destroy a whole theology.. here is a question made famous by 'saint' thomas aquinas, believers in a almighty god with unlimited ability, please have a think about this..... the omnipotence paradox:.
"could an omnipotent being create a stone so heavy that even he could not lift it?

If he could write a maths equation he could not solve, it means he is not omnipotent because he can't solve a math problem. It is this easy to prove that 'all powerfull' is nonsensical, illogical and unnatural. It is simply a made up human idea.... without much thought too !
The paradox just highlights the impossibility of anything or anyone being all powerful. It just isn't possible and is illogical.
When you say what he can do and wold want to do, you are missing the whole point.
But I will leave it there. For those that get the point, I hope it makes you think. This is the kind of stuff I mulled over when I was a kid but hid from the answers out of fear and no wanting to really consider the answers.

Physics: What are your thoughts on life in the 4th,5th,and higher dimensions?
by EndofMysteries inif you do a little research there are many physics forums, discussions, and books about this.
it's a bit challenging to grasp but it's very interesting.
if there is life on this higher dimensions, they could see us yet we would be unable to see them.

BOLLOCKS
It feels good to say....
Bollocks, bollocks bollocks, bollocks, bollocks..... oh said it too much, now it has lost it's meaning... bollocks, bollocks, bollocks, bollocks...

(in reality I just wanted to state the qpproprite number of 'bollocks' to the opening post - EOM please post the scientific papers that justify your comments, good luck with that.)

It has nothing to do with physics...faceplam...No offence, but I am not going to spend a week explaining the paradox to you. You have missed the point repeatedly he he.
Could an omnipotent being write a maths equation he could not solve?
Could an omnipionet being create a being more powerful than himself?
These are all examples of showing the illogical and flawed concept of ANYTHING that is all powerful, omnipotent. There is no answer Prologos, it is highlighting the issue of giving anything ultimate power. It simply isnt possible and makes no sense in reality.
Drop it prologos, it is flying over your head like a jumbo jet ;) come back after you have done some more sudoku :P xxx

CNN: Does the big bang breakthrough offer proof of God?

Put it this way, there is nothing wrong with it, in of itself.... but as soon as I see scientists making such assumptions and leaps of faith, I see it being written in the pages of Watchtower literature, I see it being thrust in front of teenagers who have recently told their parents they no longer believe in god, I see it being quoted from podiums and altars, I see it being written.... in forums.
That is why it is dangerous, not because it is not helpful or possibly correct. But because these kind of assumptions from a qaulified voice are dangerous in the wrong hands and provides fuel for a fire we were all once consumed in. Pseudo-science is not harmless!
I was brought up on "some scinetists claim..." or "this doctor believes that...." to explain away countless untruths. They don't help at all!
These kinds of opinions and quotes from scientists are missued by religions all over the world. They kept me content and stopped me questionign for a very long time.

Sparrow, great thinking.... But please provide an example of what you said. Please give an example of an idea brought about without any evidence, just thinking.
You can't be honest and seperate evidence from ideas. Where do we draw the line if ideas are held in the same esteem as facts or evidence?
Theoretical physics to me, is one of the most exciting uses of the human mind right now. At my bedside is s pile of books, medical (being a doctor), military history (because im a bloke) and theoretical physics, because I agree with you. The human mind is at its zenith when contemplating the universe,
Despite this, theoretical physics based on no evidence, 100% does not deserve to sit in the section labeled SCIENCE for it is FICTION or POETRY at best. Really, where do we draw the line if we don't distinguish fact and fiction?
already her words are being quoted on a forum under the question "Does the big bang offer proof if God?"
Be honest, is this a help or hinderance to finding truth? Before you answer, set aside any bias and make seeking an understanding of reality as the goal. If still you don't see my point, let's make the phd physicist a Muslim doctor, who believes is is proof of ALLAH. Now lets teach that in schools.....
Or shall we stick to EVIDENCE and FACTS?

p.s. Thanks for the kind words. I just think this stuff is important, I really, really do.

A theological paradox outlining the flawed concept of omnipotence, is neither absurd or comical. It is enlightening. Next time a Christian induces magic to explain away the impossible, remember this paradox.
