The second he said to adam and eve... "out the garden, lets see how you do!"
He immediately made them imperfect, he made them want to sin, he made them ill and he gave them urges he says you can't have. He made it hard to feed your family and work the ground, he made it hard to have children. He made animals and the very earth hostile.
How exactly is this a fair comparison to what the story claims is gods alternative? its like asking someone to race you, then just as they leave the starting blocks, tripping them up and stamping on their ankle to break it..... and then his fans shouting 'see god is faster! no he isnt cheating, he is god, he can di what he wants! how dare adam use his free will and say yes to racing him!"
It is a flawed story. A combination of terrible explinations for the world around us and world history that when combined obviously dont make sense, because its b.s.!

Want to know why people accept evolution ?

it is a difficult concept to communicate and so if it is not explained well , it is understandable that we would dismiss it.. i sincerely want to talk with people who want to learn more or see what all the fuss is about.
we are all learning and increasing our knowledge all the time and it is good to go over facts with critical eye.. evolution we can discuss, looking at the foundational facts and evidence, one at a time for you to go and check, agree or disagree with and return.. no pressure to accept it, you can decide for yourself, also no mocking etc of what you have to say.. .

quantum physics, largely theoretical math, yet to be tested beyond hypothesis as we are only now entering the age of testing theoretical physics with CERN etc, though exciting and interesting has no place in any hair brained ideas of non physicists. It is embarassing!

Protect yourselves with knowledge, here is a little piece to asd to your bag, physicists themselves say and I quote...
"Anybody claiming to understand quantum physics, doesn't understand quantum physics."
So anyone making claims on an area of science the experts dont yet know much about, is being wholly dishonest and why tag onto an area not yet explored? Because it is easier to decieve people that way...... When biologists confirmed and decoded DNA, to this day you have loons claiming it is a written language proving god! When physicists sent people to space, cults sprang up with alien leaders and to this day you can meet people who claim alien experiences... new developments in science always come with cling ons looking to get noticed in the haze of ignorance....

Are my children in danger of being indoctrinated if I let them spend the night with their JW family?

keeping my kids safe is my goal... until they are old enough to understand and reason on their own.
my mother gave me the tapes (that i gave her back in december) of combating mind control by steven hassan, saying that she didn't have a tape player... reminded me of three years ago when i gave her crisis of conscience by ray franz and she said it's to big book to read and she's not a reader.

fantastic, much respect and kudos for taking the effort and time to be prepared to help those two people. I hope they think about it, all these incidents contribute to people leaving on occasion. I wish I had met you as a householder when I was a JW, The householders that did make me think remain in mymemory to this day.

by cofty inby developing new techniques, a team of scientists led by david neale at the university of california have succeeded in sequencing the genome of the loblolly pine pinus taeda.. the genome is 16 billion base pairs long - 7 times larger than the human genome.
so why does it take so much dna to make a tree?
well it turns out it doesn't.. the new sequence confirmed that the loblolly genome is so large because it is crammed full of invasive dna elements that copied themselves around the genome.

Vid, your perspective on why it is termed junk is out of context.
I remember the first time I saw the left recurrent laryngeal nerve. Nerves simply conduct a charge. Because of how we evolved from a fish history, our nerve passes its end point and wraps under the aorta (blood vessel from the heart) and then goes back up to where it is supposed to go. It is 11 inches longer than it needs to be. It would be ridiculous to claim it was designed, we can see from evolution exactly why it follows an illogical silly path.
When I mentioned this to JW family and pals etc at the time, they all without hesitation said we obviously dont yet understand why it is that longand in the future scientists may just find out.....
This backward, ignorant thinking, would be harmful to progress and science, but thankfully we don't think like that.
As for your appendix.......facepalm and sigh.
