  krauss is an atheist activist and self-described antitheist.

  hence his science is biased.

  being an antitheist means he's anti god.. anyone disagree?.

  The dude discovered the red shift acceleration..... he is a physics legend...

  So a smart guy is against god and religion therefore his science is no good? It doesn't make sense.

  There is no evidence for your god kate, so how on earth can it's non existing data inturrupt modern science? Scientists DO NOT talk about god in their day job, he doesn't come up, there is no reason for him to as there is absoloutely no shred of evidence that he even exists in any of the scientific fields.

  You being a claimed scientist who despite this knowledge of no evidence STILL believes in god, may want to consider where the confirmation biases lie and the cognitive dissonance begins.

  Krauss? ......as everyone says, please do show your workings out for this conclusion?

  Isn't his beliefs infact simply reflecting the science and data? Quite the opposite to the claim in the OP when you think about what he believes and why and what you believe and why....

  I'm afraid I'd be single for life

  this is quite embarrassing for me to share, but as a 30+ year old single female i have lingering doubts as to whether i can still meet a decent man and get married.. you all know how difficult it is for sisters to find an appropriate partner in the congregation.. and now, all the more so that i've learned ttatt.

  i still am bound by low self-esteem, and i do have trust issues, especially with men.

  i am very lonely and so i just keep myself busy with work to avoid depression (although it is also a great source of stress).. any other single females out there having similar thoughts?.

  don't get caught up into the no sense that marriage is essential. Meet the right guy and see how things go. Are you making an effort to even meet guys? If not then how do you expect it to happen?

  Disney and Watchtower were spewing fiction, it doesn't just happen when it's supposed to.

  You have dodged a huge bullet. Thank your lucky stars you are not unhappily married to a JW male.

  We get one life and one chance of being happy with it. Think about what you want out of life, I mean that seriously.,Think about what you want exactly, then make som eplans about how to get it....then simoky get it.

  I look at the JW's I knew and by far the majority of married people were unhappy with unhealthy marriages. Drinking, violence, inequality and disrespect seems the norm in JW marriages/families with a thin veil of pretense hung over a shambles.

  First get over the idea that you have missed the boat or missed out. You have dodged a bullet!

  Next recognise you are damnn young and damn fortunate to be out of the cult young enough to start a fresh. How many ?jw's in their 70's + do we all kmow NEVER getting those years lost back!

  As people have said....be proactive.

  I left the JW's around age 24, by 26 I was back in education and deep in it too. I have only just finished my degree aged 33 and though I am happy with where I am in my life and where I plan to go in the future, I am well aware I need to focus on finding a Mrs Snare & Racket now. The JW pains have long ceased and the confusions of leaving the cult dissipated, Iam ready to start life at the age 33.

  It may not be as easy as it was to have a JW marriage of conveniance, but it isn't that hard......everyone does it ;) x

  WT admitted "Jehovah" is not God's name...

  if i remember right(unlikely, lol) it was a one-page article about the tetragrammaton which concluded by saying that even though "jehovah" was 'probably' not an accurate pronunciation, it is a widely-recognized and accepted english transliteration of the divine name.

  i was thinking it was on the last page or maybe the back cover of a wt pub - maybe a watchtower.. can someone please direct me to the publication it was in?

  i read it when i was still 'in' and it made me stop and think about how much emphasis the wt puts on that name, all while knowing it's not the name.

  its unbelievable to me that one verse in the bible blows up the entire jw dogma and its amazing to me that with all this bible reading we jw's did we missed it.

  even faders and people who quit for many reasons missed it.

  what verse am i talking about it verse 9 of chapter 5 of revelations.
