You Know You're in the Wrong Religion When....
by Vanderhoven7 injust thought a review the following material many have contributed to might be helpful .
you know you are in the wrong religion:1. when the all important question is not: "do you believe in the lord jesus christ?"....but....
"do you believe in the "faithful and discreet slave" appointed in 1919?"2.

Sincere question to those who no longer believe in God

A faithful and discreet slave who looks after his masters belongings even if his master isn’t around. The slave that doesn’t? An evil slave.
How about slavery being evil?

It’s illegal to access computer data that is not yours to access.
We may not be JW’s anymore but we still have morals and a conscience and respect for law.
Also we respect the JW’s right to their beliefs and logistics.
If the owner of the account was leaking information, that’s their decision and conscience (I’m all for leaking and whilstle blowing if necessary).
I really don’t think you should hand out those details.

How do we Avoid...becoming Intellectually Dishonest?
by TerryWalstrom inintellectual honesty: "i am willing to be wrong when facts go against cherished beliefs.".
are you willing to be wrong?.
without a willingness to be wrong (who can always be right?

Interesting topic.
I find the most sincere way to be intellectually honest about a topic, is to genuinely attempt to defend all sides of the argument.
As a thought experiment if there was option A and B to an intellectual issue and I naturally side with A, I will imagine defending B as if in a court case or debate to the best of my ability so as to ensure I am siding with data and not self deceit.
This is why relying on other people for information and a source of data is so dangerous, be it a loved one, an elder or a GB member in Warwick, you don’t know their biases. You know your own, so look at the information and decide for yourself.
I know that I have a natural tendency to have a bias for data and information that is interesting and unique (I work as a doctor), so when I come across data that excited my interest due to its unexpected/interesting outcome I try to be especially weary. What can I say, I was born in the 80’s it was hip to be square 😉

Memorial Invitation 2018 : Subliminal Message ?
by jwdoctrine inhttp://jwdoctrine.com/memorial-invitation-2018-demonic-subliminal/.
memorial invitation : subliminal message.
at first glance, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the invitation but on closer look a disturbing detail becomes apparent.it is in the upper right corner of the illustration of jesus christ celebrating the last supper with his disciples in the upper room...there seem to be trees outside the window but on closer inspection, all thanks to the pdf format of the invitation that allows you a very close look down to the fine detail, these are not trees but letters!!!.

Unhappy being asked to give a Disfellowshipped Sister a ride to and from Meetings
by Isambard Crater ini'm pimo, very much against disfellowshipping, and going to a meeting leaves me feeling confused and angry at the best of times.
except an elder asked me on thursday night if i can start giving a ride to a disfellowshipped woman because she lives near me and nobody else from the hall lives in my village.
it seems the elder and his family who have been giving this woman a ride for the past six months can no longer stomach the time it takes them to go out of their way.. i thought all normal publishers weren't to have any contact with disfellowshipped people?

It’s so odd listening to adults discuss JW issues. In the real world, nobody can make you work as a free taxi service for someone under any circumstance lol.
Just say no, you’re an adult

Funny News From My Old Congragation - Elder Fight!
by pale.emperor ini haven't stopped laughing since i heard this.
a pimo in my last congregation told me that an elder has been removed from his elder position.
apparently he grabbed another elder by the throat, put him up against a wall in the back room and punched him in on the nose... during an elders meeting on thursday evening after the meeting.. the congregation were running round like headless chickens wondering what to do?

An elders (P.O.) wife and daughter, due to nerves, would rarely do KMS items or answer up. One elder didn’t like this decided to ask them from the platform to read a verse ..... it was awkward and intentional. “Maybe sister X would like to read this .....” after the meeting those two elders were eye to eye down the front of the hall shouting at each other. It was embarrassing.
I have never met an elder who acted like he had the lives of 100 people in his care, it matters because it means they never REALLY believed they did. That’s not how you behave or treat each other if you believe that.

Big Questions
by TerryWalstrom inbig questionslook at the entire history of humanity on earth and ask:"what is it people really want?
"on the flip side: "what is it which keeps holding us back?
"______no matter how bad or good our life is at any one moment we can imagine a better life.we can imagine a place "over there" greener, more beautiful, with rivers of purest water; a land of milk and honey.but wait--before you turn away with a yawn.... one more thing.. that gap--that space--between here and there, demands of us an irresistible passion to cross over.. we seek: a better life.. we find a "bridge" to buy which promises us a guarantee: whether it is god or utopia or diet and meditation--we each, in our own way, find: the answer.. the lowest form of human consciousness?.

Of course I read it carefully.
Are you not conscious when your genetics tell you to eat, to sleep, to love, to protect, to care for..... this is genetics in action, conscious and very deliberate in its guidance for survival.

If you don’t think you have ever been motivated by genetics to do anything....
Then I’m out of this conversation, because current human knowledge says otherwise, has evidence for otherwise and a logical explanation as to how and why.
Deal wit the material before you consider the ethereal.
