  i have been on the phone the last to two weeks calling people i've known over the last forty years most of who are still jehovah's witnesses.

  some of these people who didn't know i was "out" talked to me and some who knew i was "out" still talked to me.

  some of the those people are even elders.. by book new boy will be dedicated to all the people who have killed themselves because of being a jehovah's witness or knowing others who were jehovah's witnesses.

  I imagine we all know exJW’s or JW’s who killed themselves or tried to. This forum itself has suffered the loss of good people to suicide and JW pain. It’s a very real issue.

  I don’t understand your purpose. If you are asking to find out if anecdotally exjw’s commit suicide, you already know the answer. If you are hoping to get some statistics then that will prove near impossible and for sure you won’t get them from asking for numbers on a forum post. If you are asking for personal accounts of suicide then expect people to not want to offer that up to a stranger online.

  Exactly what are you hoping to achieve ? Are you after statistics, anecdotal stories or personal accounts?

  You may find yourself in court if you write stories about suicides based on forum hearsay.

  I understand your intent and I can feel your anger, we all shared it at one time.

  Trust me.... please... just write YOUR story. That will suffice for you and your conscience.

  As for outing people that have chosen to be a bit more human and speak to you when they shouldn’t..... maybe show them the same humanity back and keep them out of it too.

  You can still help a lot of people and it can still be therapeutic for you. I also agree that we shouldn’t live by their rules anymore.... however they are living in an emotional/spiritual/psychological concentration camp and announcing names for the ‘guards’ to hear who has broken the rules, especially in showing you a small kindness, will not bring anything but more suffering. This time however you are helping police the sheep.

  august 18, 2018. on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of august over 100 people from 13 countries, including seven australians, gathered on the grounds of excel london and held a peaceful and colourful protest to coincide with the jehovah’s witnesses ‘be courageous’!

  well today marks the beginning and biggest day of our protest at the london excel.. we believe it's a record number at around 100 exjws at the front door.. we spoke to lots of jw's and one young man studying who has quit after talking to us.

  we've been approached privately by jw's who thanked us for coming and the security at the event treated us very well.. if anyone wants to see some clips they are available on my channel the great apostate.. thanks to all for the support and love..

  Morpheus, you are not helping the cause for what is in reality seeking reality and truth, no matter the means. I haven’t been here properly for years really and I may be wrong, but Morpheus aren’t you still attending as a JW? Aren’t you an elder? As I say I may be wrong..... but if either is the case you have no place saying what you have said. What efforts have you made to bring truth to JW’s...... or do you just quietly watch the years disappear for these poor people? OUR families and loved ones are in the JW cult number, living a nightmare, awaiting a fantasy.

  i have utmost respect for what these guys have done this weekend. Very brave and I have no doubt it will have an affect. It got me thinking every time I saw a protestor at the convention.

  figures from that latest 2-weekend convention in caridff (wales) reveal jw “growth” now in decline.

  baptisms are discouragingly low (21, combined), and circuit overseers have been primed to deal with assemblies where there are no baptisms; see these leaked 2018 instructions:.

  So the numbers are down, because the North Wales congs have always gone to Manchester/Liverpool and never to Cardiff, certainly for the last 30+ years.

  Also, some from N.Wales attend both, the farming family interviewed are from N.Wales and attend Cardiff as it is a Welsh convention. The region they are from however attends Liverpool.

  I work in this city and was suprised to see the article whilst looking through the news on Sunday, even more suprised to see peolle I knew very well in the article. One of them I served in bethel with.

  Despite the bias and uninformed article, the comments section was by enlarge informative and full of warnings re the JW's.

  As for the article, I often type in "Jehovah" into google and hit the news search option. Most of the time, somewhere in the world is having a convention and most of the times I have done that search, an article like this comes up. Whether it is Detroit, Texas, Sydney or the remote Phillipines....the articles all read in a very similiar fashion. This has gone on for years. I would be hesitant to say they pay for the articles, however I have no doubt this has been done, but for sure they must approach the papers, show them around VIP for the afternoon and influence the theme and tone of the articles. They are FAR TOO similair for any other explanation.

  hi guys.. as some of you may be aware, i'm currently studying in uni part time training to become a therapist and councilor for ex-cult victims.

  my goal is to be the vest best therapist i can be, specifically for ex-witnesses (because i can relate completely), and i plan to incorporate hypnotherapy in my therapy sessions.. i have already trained in hypnosis, however i'm not trained in hypnosis for therapy.

  nor am i licensed to practice it in therapeutic work.. i'm hoping you can help me to change that.

  Hey buddy,

  i wonder if we knew each other, used to hang out in Liverpool/Manchester in my JW youth.

  Buddy, I left the JW's and slogged to get through a 1year intense course and a 6 year degree. The cost was more than a house, but I have no regrets and my reward is the patients I get to help daily.

  May I humbly suggest a few things. Why not do a course in conventional counselling?

  Official college courses in the UK have funding/loans in the locality and university courses are covered with loans.

  If the course is legit, you should get the funding from the local educational board. Putting out a go fund me page for a course you are not even accepted on, may leave people wondering what you are doing with the cash etc. If you just want to help people this will muddy the waters maybe.

  Also, out of interest can you show any papers or research from academia regarding the validity of hypnotherapy for helping people such as ex-JW's?

  so i wont get into why i asked my jw wife to leave... theres another thread for that lol... but more out of pure curiosity i asked her just now... "in order to save this marriage would you leave the jws?

  ", it was a snap call no, like not even a second to pause and think about it, which kinda took me back a bit, followed by a angry "why would you ask me that now?

  " (shes going out witnessing with my kids and her friends).

  You are in the scenario I was so afraid to be in. I may say I have come out ahead unmarried and without children from the JW’s.... non complex. But that would be wrong, the purpose of life is .... children. You’ve had one. Now make sure every decision, every direction you go, every motive, is the protection and preparation of your child for life.

  The witnesses can be overcome.... this is the message of JW.Net. It is easier now than ever before and kids seek truth far more naturally than adults.

  Be there as a dad. Be a good dad. Be a good human being. Show them how they CAN live.
