Once when giving the Memorial talk I concluded with a story about the ressurection. I was counseled by the entire elder body as they felt the ending thought of what the ressurection hope means took away from the death of Christ.

I have reviewed several hundred articles on the WT/CD and searched under every way I could define the word NGO. I came to an interesting conclusion, WT has carefully avoided any references to NGO status as being as way for Christendom to be riding the beast. Why is this?
NGO status would be the most logical assumption if you wanted to draw a link to how religion has supported the UN. This has been going on since 1945 yet WT has failed to find this simple fact out? I do not think so. There is something here we are missing. Either Wt or one of its corporations have been NGO connected for much longer than 1991. The picture then makes sense. It also would show the greater double life wt has been leading.
This would be a good area to try and find where the actual association was between WT and NGO status. I think their finger got dirty long before 1991. If this assumption if proven it could possibly open up a real can of worms for WT and certainly destroy the library card defense to a greater extent than has been done already. Where do you begin? As the old saying goes, follow the money. There has to be a link for NGO status bringing financial gain, when you find that link, then perhaps it will open the way to find how long WT actually was associated and when they actually joined or benefited as an NGO.

Court denies teen's religious objection to transfusion
Jehovah's Witness does not want to receive life-saving treatment
CALGARY (CP) - A 16-year-old girl with leukemia has lost her first battle to stop the Alberta government from forcing her to get life-saving blood transfusions.
The Jehovah's Witness girl doesn't want to receive another person's blood, even though she was diagnosed last week with leukemia.
But the province stepped in late Monday night, and the government was awarded temporary custody of the girl.
The girl's lawyer was in court Wednesday asking the court to stop the medical treatments until he can appeal the apprehension by the province, which took custody of the girl so that she receives life-saving blood transfusions.
But Justice John Rooke of Court of Queen's Bench would not grant the stay.
"If she doesn't have the treatment she will suffer irreparable harm," Rooke said.
"I acknowledge there is a harm to religious beliefs but that has to be balanced with right to life."

The girl and her parents cannot be named because she is a temporary ward of the province.
Her father was ecstatic with the court's decision.
"I'm very happy that my daughter has a chance to live," he said outside court.
The girl's father said that for the sake of his daughter, he has put aside his religious belief that transfusions are wrong.
The belief about transfusions stems from Bible passages in which Israelites are instructed not to eat the blood of animals. Jehovah's Witnesses take that to mean they can't allow the blood of any animals - including humans - directly into their bodies.
The girl received her first blood transfusions Tuesday at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary.
"My daughter is feeling much better. There's a big difference (in her condition)," he said.
Mark Kastner, spokesman for Alberta Children's Services, said the province stepped in because officials were told the girl needed the blood transfusions.
"We'll be working with the doctors with whatever her needs are, as long as we have guardianship," Kastner said.
Hospital officials said they were unsuccessful in their worldwide search for other possible treatments for the girl's acute myeloid leukemia.
According to doctors, the girl requires an amply supply of new blood for her chemotherapy treatments.
The girl's Ontario lawyer, David Gnam, works for the Jehovah's Witnesses head office in Georgetown, Ont.
In 1995, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that the state has the right to intervene in a parent's decision to stop a blood transfusion for a child based on religious beliefs.
Kastner said there have been three similar Alberta cases in the last two years, one in Edmonton and two in Calgary, in which the province stepped in to get temporary custody of children whose Jehovah's Witness parents wouldn't allow blood transfusions for religious reasons.
"In all of those cases we were awarded temporary custody so that we could allow medical intervention to occur," he said.
There are 110,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in Canada.

recently, i went back to the kingdom hall after an absence of almost thirteen years.
It seems evident your "going back" experience was not what you expected. In fairness the elder was way out of line and must be a total idiot. I am sure if you brought the matter up with the PO you would get an apology for the counsel. Then again if it was the PO who called you then you probably started back at the wrong congregation as it would then appear he was some kind of power nut and it would certainly spill over into other areas as well. Don't get me wrong I am not encouraging you to give it another try, that is a personal decision. But your bad experience was certainly beyond the way most are treated when they start re-attending. Different congregations have different personalities and that is no doubt why so many keep going. If you had of experienced the typical love bombing that occurs when one starts attending again, what would you have done then? That is the crux of the matter and an area you need to address to figure out why you felt the need to go back to begin with or else you may never be secure in how you feel about God.

I see MR. Hawk seems to have an opinion, yet someone did go to court, they DID file a complaint, and the DID WIN! So it kind of goes against your argument that these cases are not winable. As you will note in the beginning of this post I mentioned this MAY mark a change in court opinions regarding this issue. If this continues to go in this direction it may mean that religions can be called to task for FRAUD. Fraud in business is when you tell a person one thing or lead them to believe it and then have no itention of delivering what was offered. If that person can prove they lost time and money in the process the are thus defrauded and can seek legal compensation. I do not think you have to be a mental giant to see this process.
If religion starts to come under the same scrutiney as business when it comes to fraud then a world of justice may come to those who use God to mislead and defraud the innocent.

Because of its general features, this scarlet-colored wild beast is the “image of the wild beast” whose creation the apostle John told of in Revelation 13:14, 15 but whom he did not there describe. As it is an image and is for idolatrous worship, Babylon the Great favors it. She is pleased to ride it or be carried along by it. Idolaters justify the use of idols by saying that they are aids to the worship of the gods pictured by the idols, which idols they give only a “relative worship.” By the wild beast’s “image” they worship the international conspiracy against God’s kingdom. The image is that international organization formed for preserving the political governments of this world, especially by means of settling their differences through peaceful arbitration.

The first meeting of its General Assembly took place in London, England (of the dual world power), on January 10, 1946; that of the Security Council seven days later.

On April 7 Christendom celebrated her Palm Sunday, to commemorate Christ’s triumphal ride into Jerusalem (Zion) to offer himself to her as her Messianic King. During the following Holy Week Pope John XXIII signed his encyclical entitled “Pacem in Terris” (“Peace on Earth”), while the scene was recorded for television, to be transmitted by the Italian network in a special program and to be made available to television stations all over the earth. The final paragraph dated the delivery of the encyclical with the words: “Given at Rome at St. Peter’s on Holy Thursday, the eleventh day of April, in the year 1963, the fifth of our Pontificate. JOHN XXIII.” The encyclical was addressed not only to the Roman Catholic “clergy and faithful of the whole world” but also “to all men of goodwill.” Part IV thereof spoke of the “public authority of the world community,” not meaning, of course, the United Nations, for Vatican City is not a member of the UN. It went on to say:
. . . This means that the public authority of the world community must tackle and solve problems of an economic, social, political and cultural character which are posed by the universal common good. For, because of the vastness, complexity and urgency of those problems, the public authorities of the individual states are not in a position to tackle them with any hope of a positive solution.
The public authority of the world community is not intended to limit the sphere of action of the public authority of the individual political community, much less to take its place. On the contrary, . . .
As is known, the United Nations Organization (U.N.O.) was established on June 26, 1945, and to it there were subsequently added intergovernmental agencies with extensive international tasks in the economic, social cultural, educational and health fields. The United Nations Organization had as its essential purpose the maintenance and consolidation of peace between peoples, fostering between them friendly relations, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and varied forms of cooperation in every sector of human society.
An act of the highest importance performed by the United Nations Organization was the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, approved in the General Assembly of December 10, 1948. In the preamble of that declaration, the recognition and respect of those rights and respective liberties is proclaimed as an ideal to be pursued by all peoples and all countries.
Some objections and reservations were raised regarding certain points in the declaration. . . .
It is our earnest wish that the United Nations Organization—in its structure and in its means—may become ever more equal to the magnitude and nobility of its tasks, and that the day may come when every human being will find therein an effective safeguard for the rights which derive directly from his dignity as a person, and which are therefore universal, inviolable, and inalienable rights. This is all the more to be hoped for since all human beings, as they take an ever more active part in the public life of their own political communities, are showing an increasing interest in the affairs of all peoples, and are becoming more consciously aware that they are living members of a world community.
Pope John XXIII then tied in God’s kingdom with all the foregoing by saying in the sixth last paragraph of the encyclical:
. . . In order that human society may reflect as faithfully as possible the kingdom of God, help from on high is necessary.
However, does the United Nations in any way reflect the Kingdom or will it in any way promote the Kingdom? Does the Pontifex Maximus’ admiration for the United Nations or the international admiration for this “image of the wild beast” make sure that the “public authority of the individual political community” will survive the “war of the great day of God the Almighty”? No! According to what the apostle John wrote, it does not make sure that the people who idolatrously admire and religiously pray for the United Nations will gain life in Jehovah God’s new order of things, which will follow that universal war. God does not write the names of those idolaters in his “scroll of life.” In this scroll, figuratively speaking, he has been writing the names of those worthy of life “from the founding of the world,” that is, from when he founded the human race, the world of mankind. According to God’s written Word, Abel the martyred son of Adam and Eve appears to be the first one “written upon the scroll of life.” (Hebrews 11:4; 12:24; Genesis 4:2-10, 25; Matthew 23:35) The names of those idolaters are not written with that of Abel. Hence lovers of eternal life in God’s new order of things will not join in this modern idolatry.

In what way can it be said that “these have one thought”? Of course, the Charter of the United Nations should fix the thought for all its member nations of “kings” and it should unite them all in one purpose. But the way that the veto power has been used in sessions of the Security Council of the UN, and the refusal on the part of some members to pay the required taxes for certain military ventures of the UN, and the disorders that have featured some of the meetings of the General Assembly, and the continual lack of oneness of mind on crucial proposals as to general disarmament and stopping of nuclear weapons’ testing, etc., all this proves that these “ten kings” are not one in thought. How, then, is the angel’s prophecy true, that “these have one thought”? In this way:
The modern-day “ten kings” have “one thought” in opposing God’s Messianic kingdom, his kingdom in the hands of the “Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.” The very League of Nations and its successor, the United Nations, represent an international conspiracy against God’s kingdom, which was born in the heavens in 1914 at the end of the Gentile Times. This international organization for peace and security by human means is a deceptive counterfeit for God’s kingdom by his Lamb, which Jehovah’s witnesses have been preaching to all the nations since the end of World War I. Thus the whole scarlet-colored “wild beast” is against the heavenly Messianic kingdom. In order to support a substitute for that kingdom and in order to further their fight against that Messianic kingdom, the symbolic ten horns or kings do unitedly “give their power and authority to the wild beast,” just as Revelation 17:13 foretold. Other nations that are not members of the United Nations are just as much against God’s Messianic kingdom. Accordingly they take part with the “wild beast” in this opposition.
