two of them caught me by surprise this morning at my door (nobody here knows me from adam) offering the awake magazine on battered women.

in courtrooms.The Society needs to be pinned down on the witness stand.
Does this doctrine allow or encourage lying or deceit?
Is this doctrine used or believed in and practised today?

forgive my morbid curiousity, but exactly what sorts of rituals were these?.
bear in mind that as dubs we were told that the rituals of the roman catholic church were satanic, that smurfs were satanic, that rock'n'roll was satanic, etc., etc.

of Satanism practiced by white-bread suburban types to
be nonsense. When you deal with Witnesses, you are dealing
with an organization of obsessed, compulsive, and often,

that are more extreme, historically, than any that have ever
existed.Please consider that studies show that the age at which young
women start menstruating has been dropping, generation after
generation, possibly due to better nutrition. At the same time,
human society has been converting from an agricultural way
of life into industrial cultures. It used to be common for
young people to share a multi-generational home and get married
early, to help provide labor for farming.Put it all together, and it was common to achieve sexual maturity
and get married in an ordered society WITHIN A YEAR OR TWO!Today, a young person might be sexually capable at 11 or 12.
They may have to defer any marriage because you can't make a
good living with a hay fork anymore! You need a good education
- and time to build up a career before assuming the responsibilities
of marriage.Put it all together TODAY, and you might have more than a decade
gone by in singlehood - and be expected never to fornicate or masturbate!This is ridiculous! MORE is being demanded from these poor
Witness kids that their ancestors had to endure.And keep in mind, when you hear the protests from older people
on the topic of sex, that FOR DECADES the Watchtower Society
had no disfellowshipping at all - and many Witnesses, LEADERSHIP
INCLUDED, took 'full advantage " of that fact, if you catch my
drift!Yet, in the face of this - and a more open abundance of sexually
oriented material than ever before - the Watchtower increases its
harsh rule (you can officially be df'd for whacking off to the internet??)The Apostle James was right (Acts 15). He asked:
"Why are you imposing a burden on the disciples
