  Where Can You Find It?".

  OK, get out the barf bag and ginger ale - you know where
  this self exalted garbage is leading. And, of course,
  they quote their favorite twisted scripture for authority.

  "Who really is the faithful and discreet slave, whom his
  master appointed over his domestics, to give them their
  food at the proper time?".

  They say this 'faithful slave' is "the body of anointed
  Christians on earth- over his earthly interests."
  (March 15, WT pg.14) - a tiny group of old men, often half senile.

  Well, maybe this idiotic interpretation clears
  up everything!

  Are the elders appointed over congregations
  'faithful and discreet'? NO!

  Are the Circuit Overseers 'faithful and discreet'? NO!

  Are the District Overseers, Branch Servants, missionaries
  and others 'faithful and discreet'? NO!

  Wow, this stupid interpretation of Matt.24 REALLY
  CLEARS EVERYTHING UP FOR ME! It all makes sense now!

  The organization is a mess because it is administered
  by men who are NOT 'faithful and discreet'!

  That means they must be unfaithful and stupid.

  What wonderful new light!

  An Arab commentator pointed out that 'loving America' was never
  that important. While such love is extolled as the greatest of
  virtues in the West, it's hard to imagine the Arab world
  feeling the same way.
  What's been missing is fear and respect - Clinton certainly
  let things slide, image wise.

  The vacuum here is Europe - why should the U.S. be expected
  to do it all? I suspect that Europe will continue to draw inward
  regardless of their newfound unity - they've seen the 'job' and don't want it.

  Personally, I'd like to see new energy sources and the abandonment
  of the whole Middle East. Actually, taking away all their oil money
  might be the best thing for the Islamic world - it would force
  them to confront reality.

  a report from the publishing committee on making the best use of contributed funds.. five years ago because of construction in the united states and throughout the world on k. h. and a. h. and branches the needs were greater than the available funds putting quite a strain on the resources.. the design build committee limited any building projects to only those absolutely necessary.

  Wait a minute ... they've been global for a number of years
  even decades, depending on how you count it.

  I believe they are losing cash flow. They nearly panicked when
  contributions plunged after the Swaggart case/voluntary contribution
  change went into effect. I can testify that a great many
  congregations now send in less than half the amount of money
  to the Society that they used to. Accounting for inflation,
  it looks even worse.

  They have canceled building plans, gone to paperbacks, and
  dumped subscriptions - which have been offered for OVER a century.

  internet. They can't make it go away. They can't stop the
  continuing exposure of their frauds.

  They can't stop the exodus of young people leaving the organization.
  They can't stop the slowly declining cash flow - as contributions
  dry up and Jehovah fails to make up the shortfall.

  Little by little, these impotent men are losing -
  Just like the Soviets in Afghanistan,
  they can't overcome the guerillas.

  They have failed to fufill the prophecy that "no weapon
  formed against you will have success" - because the internet
  is slowly beating them.

  Education Issues.......Help!

  i was out last night with a jw but who is not attending.

  he is in his early 30s, is on his second marriage but now separated.

  i've known him for 15 yrs or so.

  After I quit as an elder, I started on a two year degree.

  Long hard work....

  but I have to say - it was one of the happiest moments in my
  life - putting on a cap and gown, walking in the auditorium
  while "Pomp and Circumstance" was playing.

  I thought "At last, I'm somebody"

  I sang "America, the Beautiful" with the crowd
  while tears ran down my face.

  Anyhow, the comics never mentioned any religion that I recall
  but if they did, I think it might resemble JW's.

  Blood is sacred because it's a symbol of life, so it's more
  important than life.

  The preaching work is a vital, lifesaving work where not at
  homes are collected and almost no one is home.

  The Theocratic Ministry School teaches speaking skills that
  rarely ever get used in a mostly imaginary ministry.

  The meetings are important because they teach little and repeat
  everything.

  We practise love for our neighbors by believing that 99.9% of
  them will die at Armageddon.

  We got rid of food at the assemblies because it made us more
  united with our brothers around the world.

  We got rid of subscriptions so we can pursue the more efficient
  hand delivery method.

  We follow Jesus example by obeying egocentric, itinerant spiritual
  predators known as circuit overseers.

  We are the happiest people on earth, so we are depressed.

  We teach that the End is SOON , so we build stuff like Paterson.
