very sad, Kristen, but true.
Lukely, we are in a different situation here in Switzerland. At least, almost every young JW learnt a Job befor pioneering. So most of them started to pioneer in the age of 19 or 20.
And when you finish pioneering, you can mostly affort a family with one income.
I remember, when I was travelling around 10 years ago and also visited JW in South California. I was wondering about the fact, that almost every brother has kind of a cleaning job or work in fast food retaurant. Some brothers couldn't understand, that I waste the time to learn English and travel around in that last days.
They just had the money to survive and could never think of travelling around for 4 months, like I did.
Now, I need English urgently for my job and to chat with you...:-))
And I never ever felt regret of my trips around the world...

Most disgusting thing from Watchtower Corp.
by spectromize inone thing that really doesn't add up with the organization and their registrating to be a corp.(yes i have to put this in quote sorry it's called non-profit corp.) is the very fact that they play in the worldly system of things while they tell you to keep out of it.
(while they see nothing wrong in themselves playing the stock market with other peoples money) think about it where did jesus say to register god's organization as a corporation?.
furthermore if you were living in jesus' period of time who would be the president-vice-president-secratary- treasurer-shareholders...?.

I have no doubt that they know that very well, since they get that kind of research magazin to the bethel.
I was always told, it could be Jehovah or Jahwe, we don't know it anymore nowaday.
But scientific research from the last years brought clearness into the matter. -

It is no doubt among scientist anymore, that Jahwe is the right form of gods name. Jehovah is a wrong spelling from the midleage time. I just read a book about the scrolls of Qumram and the latest level of biblical history.Severel question arise:
Why didn't god guide his "organisation" early century to use his right name?
How can that be gods organisation, if already the name is wrong?What are your opinions about??

your so right, kristen. I have the same thoughts many times. First he create man with a free will, and when they use that will, they got punished.
How much less painfull for all the generations it would have been, if God just take away Adam and Eve and create new humans. Or if he would have created them with a programm, that sin against him is not possible, but in other things they still can decide themself...lots of staff to think about...
MGM who doubt about the existence of Adam and Eve
