Why the hell was this brought up to the top?

i hereby urge every single one of jehovah's witnesses nationwide to stop going out in field service!
according to the january 1, 1989 watchtower, our obligation to field service officially ended last year!:.
the apostle paul was spearheading the christian missionary activity.

from ajwrb site:.
this image appeared in the golden age of march 30, 1932, p. 409, and is very typical of similar pictures or watchtower cartoons of the era.
note the dead and pock marked babies below.
YK is a pompous JACKASS, masquerading as some sort of JW intelligencia - pay him no mind.

just thought id like to remind all the former pioneers that today would be the last day to get in your time for the year.
unless you were one of those annoying elite pioneers that got your time in early - i hated you folks.
actually i suspect that most of the former pioneers here didnt get their time in that often at all.

Yuck! Why'd you have to mention that? Around this time of year back when I was a Pie-In-Ear, I'd have nervous tummy feelings about all those months I fudged my time

this issue, of course, has been raised before.
of course there's no one simple reason.
arrogance, i'm sure plays a role -- the ones that feel the wts counsel to avoid dialogue with opposers is meant for the ``weaker ones'' and cannot possibly apply to someone as well-grounded and mature as they.. it may be a tacit acknowledgement that the society's arguments against debate are specious.
It's obvious: they are desparately (and secretly) looking for a way out.

Hmmm...I'd say that photo needs doctoring!

i got an unsolicited email from a dub recently.
she read my stories at free minds and recognized one of the characters.
my brief reply was taken as an excuse to question me about the possibility of my returning to the jws.
Mommy, just post her e-mail addy here, & we'll shut her the hell up.
Mmkay?

i asked my gf who is a jw but not an active one if she has ever read coc and she tells me she has and that his book was mostly lies about the organization and that's the reason he left was because he was tempted by a hooker and ended up sleeping with her.
he told the elders what he did because he was looking for help and he ended up getting df.
later he found out he ended up contract hiv.
This is the girl I am supposed to marry. I hope her beliefs do not interfere with our relationship.
Dude, head for ze hills! Her beliefs are most definitely going to interfere with your relationship. If you marry her, she'll try to win you over - if you have kids, you can be sure she'll be determined to raise 'em as she may have been - good lil' JW drones.

communication is not bad.
healthy associations are not bad either.
but, note the counsel paul gave to titus.. titus 2:1 says "you, however, keep on speaking what things are fitting for healthful teaching.".
**Do I enjoy debate? I do.**
Hard to understand how you get so much enjoyment out of something you're so ill-equipped to participate in! Tell me, is this sort of thing encouraged in your new "Shepherding" book for elders?

an interesting scripture reminds us to be careful of those that question every good thing that the f&ds does:.
titus 1:10-16 .
"10 for there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision.
**Titus 1:10-16 **
Huh! It would seem that this passage refers to the current "governing body", rather than any so-called "apostates"! Some suggested reading, "ARRRRGGGGHHHH":
"Crisis of Conscience" and "In Search of Christian Freedom", both authored by Raymond Franz.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to weep and gnash my teeth...
