by flipper inonce again, this was a real " jewel " of a study article by the wt society full of contradictions , controlling expressions , and manipulative wording in order to take away jehovah's witnesses free will and freedom of mind .. initially the wt society makes it appear that they are " concerned " about witnesses actually keeping the " peace " between themselves.
notice this quote from pg.
20, paragraph 7, " true friends keep personal matters confidential.

i was personally taken aside, for example, by the congregation overseer and his assistant to the kingdom hall library.

The millions now living brochure on p.89 & 90 dogmatically stated that in 1925 the present world system would come to an end and millions now living will never die. Even FW Franz stated in an interview that JF Rutherford said that he made an ass of himself when his "spirit directed" prophecy failed. I feel for the countless members that actually believed that false prophet and sold their homes, put off higher education, postponed marriage & children. When an organization claims to be Gods mouthpiece and anyone questioning matters of doctrine is labeled an apostate and deserving of destruction while the leader enjoyed 2 cadillacs, a couple mansions in San Diego and having drinking problems I think that might make him look as if "maybe just maybe" this is not God's organization. In 1937 the then WT attorney Olin Moyle wrote JF Rutherford a letter expressing his disgust at how JFR mistreated the Bethel family, his drinking habits, filthy language and luxurious living. He had the courage to stand up for wIhat was right. JFR kicked him out if bethel and slandered him by name in the watchtower magazine. Oline Moyle sued for libel and won the lawsuit of $30,000. I wonder why this didn't appear in the Proclaimers book? The GB would never resort to lies and deceit because they are faithful right?

Reasons why WT cannot possibly have the truth: 1. hostile takeover by JF Rutherford using deceit & cunning. 2. Abuse of power by Rutherford, drunkeness, exposed by olin moyle. 3. false prophecies 1914, 1918, 1925 & 1975. 4. blaming rank & file for failed prophecies 5. claiming that faithful slave directs organization when in reality it was the president in complete control. 6. compromising justice & truth for the reputation of the organization. 7. if any elder dare warn others in congo of a molester or call police, he will be deleted asap. 8. imposing policies that have brought much suffering then changing ie. organ transplants, alternative military service and blood fractions.

Where are MTS grads sent?
by A question inin your experience, where and as what are mts graduates sent?.
home country or foriegn asseignment?.

MTS grads are first sent back to their original congregations. If you did good in school & had a good report by the instructors, the grads are assigned usually after 3 weeks to another Congregation in the branch territory they came from. If the MTS grad didn't do that good, then he would stay in his original congregation.
Those that get assignments are just sent as regular pioneers (in the USA) and they have to take care of their own expenses. After being on their assignment several years then the circuit overseer may recommend him for another assignment perhaps as a Special Pioneer, Sub CO, or Bethel.
They are sent to Congregations where they need elders & servants. Some MTS grads are not even regular pioneers although they give preference to those who are to enroll them. However, to receive more responsabilities, being a regular pioneer is vital.

city overseer? Does anyone have a list of all jw positions and titles?
by average joe ini never heard of a jw city overseer and that makes me wonder about what else i haven't heard of.
i would like to know more about other positions titles etc such as what their titles are and what they do for the wtbs.

Here's a general list of the positions in the Watchtower Organization.
Non baptized publisher
Baptized publisher
Auxiliary Pioneer preaches 50 hours
Regular Pioneer preaches 70 hrs. Must be at least 6 months baptized and exemplary.
Special Pioneers They preach 130 hours in isolated territories. They receive a monthly allowance, paid rent & vacation time from the Watchtower. Gilead missionaries are special pioneers in their foreign field unless they serve in bethel or co/do work.
Although appointed by the branch, Specials have no authority in the Congregation (unless they're elders of course)Ministerial Servant helps doing mechanical jobs to free up the elders (capable MS teach & shepherd if the body decides).
Elder Teaching, shepherding & judicial comittees. If CO likes you, give talks at assemblies & conventions.
City Overseer Supervises events in a certain city ie assemblies, conventions but has no authority or jurisdiction over other congos.
Circuit Overseer Appointed directly by the GB. Visits a congregation in his circuit every 6 months, send recommendations to Society (BTW now done electronically) Organizes and assigns the talks for the Special Day Assemblies & Circuit Assemblies. Assigns Appeal Judial Committees.
District Overseer Visits circuit assemblies and the host congregation for that week. Is the main speaker in the circuit assembly. Accompanies the Circuit Overseers under his district for 1 week a year & sends a report to the society about them (CO & wife). The district overseer is the highest ranking official in the field or outside of bethel
Branch Committee These members run the branch in their territory. They appoint the elders & servants under them. Also appoint special pioneers.
Zone Overseers They visit branches, give talk to the bethel family and makes sure things are being run as the Branch Organization
says it should. Sends report to the Governing Body. Zone Overseers can be from the GB
or branch committee member from another country.
Governing Body They are the only ones on earth who can explain the Bible as Christ guides only them. They own not only the
watchtower properties but dictate the lives of over 7 million people worldwide. They are the anointed faithful slave
class (all other anointed don't matter).
There are many other assignments or titles like: HLC (hospital liason committee), RBC (regional building comm) TMS oversser, watchtower conductor, secretary, service overseer, Corporations etc etc.

Do you sense that the Watchtower will implode?
by AK - Jeff insince leaving the organization 8 years ago, there have been more significant changes in the actual, physical activities of the organization than occurred in all the 40 plus years i was 'in'.

The Watchtower Organization has stopped growing in the English Territory in the USA. It's the foreign languages that are responsible for any growth in the USA. Also look at once zealous Japan, for over a decade it has had Zero percent growth.
It's a matter of time before the foreign languages (spanish) in the USA also stop growing. The GB never imagined that the true history of abuse, false prophecies, Olin Moyle travesty by Rutherford, Ray Franz and other Watchtower Scandals & injustices would ever become public knowledge like it is now.
The only real growth in the USA english territory is with the witness kids and even they have only a 30% retention rate amongst them. So yes the Watchtower is imploding.

Max Larson died today at 96 yrs...Watchtower President since 2000

When I was in Bethel during the 90's, I sat with him during lunch and he mentioned to me that he feels new understanding has to come regarding the Great Crowd that nobody can number. He told me how can it be than nobody can count when we in fact know the amount of witnesses there are in the world. I found this very interesting but he said it in a non-critical manner.
Max Larson also told me a story about how Judge Rurtherford called another brother a Jackass during the morning worship consideration.
Also interesting was that I asked Max Larson about Rutherford's son Malcolm and he said he didn't know Rutherford had a kid. I referred him to the Proclaimers book where it said he had a son named Malcolm. I was intrigued that he didn't know about that fact.
Marvin mentioned in an earlier post that he started to partake? When? Thats very interesting as I always knew for a fact that he was of the "other sheep".
Another heavy that started to partake was Harold Jackson. He might very well be the next GB member as he's a helper to the GB although he's up in years.

Special day Last talk "No formula"
by MommieTiger inthis weekend at our special assembly day, let gods will take place the final talk was a head shaker.... the bethel speaker was quite entertaining when he joked @ the shortcomings of the elders.
he also made us laugh with the comment "we were told the end of the system is right around the corner, but we've found its been more than that, we've been around the blocks a few times.
" he told the young ones to make the truth their own by researching in the wtbts publication (only).

Jesus said that 2000 yrs ago in Matt 24:36 about not knowing the day or the hour.
Yet you would be disfellowshipped if you didn't agree back in the 70's that 1975 would see the end or that the generation of 1914 would see the end.
Millions of lives actually cling to every single word the GB says even though they have a long record of failed prophesies and arbitrary policies that have landed thousands in jail, caused premature deaths (blood fractions) & even women raped (Malawi).
