Great video. Shows 2 elders in complete denial, lying that the Society joined the UN. Will the lies of this organization never stop?

the developed world is having hard economic times.
so, for a while now jw's have been voicing the familiar "it can't go on...things are so hard".
i'm in the usa, and the economics are tough, relative to this country.
St George of England said,
"Russell wrote in the late 1890's that conditions were so bad he couldn't see how the world could possibly continue on until 1914."
I've read that somewhere. Does anybody have the reference where I can find it?
It's a remark so often repeated by JWs, and it goes back virtually to the beginning of the religion.
my local congregation has been in the news this week following a successful application for planning permission for a quick build.
a local vicar objected because the application described it as a building for "christain worship".. .
vicar fury at new home for jehovahs .
Cofty, your letter if far better than the other one!

Congrats Cofty on a job well done! Will we be able to see the paper online?

is that true?
i have never counted them up but it would be so interesting to see considering the israelites only had 600....
Randy Watters made reference to the 1,177 rules (not 1,777) in his resignation letter to the GB.
"[Albert Schroeder] holds up the Branch Organization Procedure book and pointed out it's 1,177 rules and regulations, knowing full well what Romans 7:6 says about Christians following sets of 'spiritual rules'. Then he actually admits that the beliefs of those dismissed were not an apostasy from the Bible, but from the organization! There IS a difference, isn't there?"
This is in the 9th paragraph of the letter, located here,
(Sorry, you will have to copy and paste that into your web browser.)
last saturday morning, i ran to the hardware store.
a former co (retired in a circuit provided house) was in the hardware store.
i stopped at starbucks....more jw's.
Driving back and forth across town, making return visits, when they could easily be grouped together to save time.
But saving time isn't the point, is it?
where are they from?
are they all from the united states or are some from other countries?
question just kind of hit me....

lawyers response resigned and withdrawn elder .
today i uploaded a new article to my blog containing a 14-page incredibly detailed response from a watchtower lawyer to a long-time high-ranking elder who had resigned and withdrawn his association with watchtower.
my article is titled lawyers response resigned and withdrawn elder and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/lawyers-response-resigned-and-withdrawn.html.
Re: Viewing the magnified image.
After selecting an image from the small icons at the bottom, and right clicking on that image, I chose 'View Image", which gave me an image that can be magnified.
I am using Firefox, and the choices of “Open Link in New Tab” or “Open Link in New Window” are not available.

I can't get page 8 to show. However, I am getting 2 page 9s. (both the 8th and 9th small icons at the bottom of the page bring up page 9)
an australian friend "in high places" told me that their branch overseer or whatever he is called now,.
has been sent to poland.. because of the timing i just wondered if this is connected to the victorian court case.
.
The organization makes itself look suspicious by not complying with this law. Why won't it? One reason would be if the W was trying to protect someone who couldn't pass the background check. If it is eventually forced to comply, then how would the Society protect those people? By moving them out of Australia seems a reasonable answer.
It will be interesting to see if others up and move to another branch. When there is no chance of embarrassment, then the Society will comply...and probably act as if it was the first organization to do so.
