An elder making a statement on how apostates do more good for the congregation is a contradition...he is causing a division and can and should be labeled a apostate for his own independent thinking.
Very good observation 2tone.
you all know i was in the uk settling estate issues and that the elders 'wanted to chat with me".. well i left before they could have the meeting i arranged on my "free day".. they turned up at my mothers home and were livid that i had gone, but here is the kicker.. brother heavenly described me as a potential apostate for what i had done, which sent my brother over the edge and he demanded a retraction and apology which they quickly gave him.
he intends to speak with the co when he comes on the matter.. it gets better, elder ballbag actually said "apostates do more good for the congregation than they think.
they pull those who should not be part of the org and clean the congregation" .

Truthseeker1969, I remember your original post. It was a very clever move to schedule your meeting with the elders on your first free day, but a day that you were back home in another country! Thanks for the update.
One of the elders said,
"apostates do more good for the congregation than they think. They pull those who should not be part of the Org and clean the congregation"
Is there no end to the slanted way JWs think? Any action, whether positive or negative, is spun in their own heads to be good for the Organization.
If they really believed that, then why aren't they embracing apostates as 'God's cleaner fish' rather than declaring them to be 'mentally diseased,' and 'worthy of slaughter,' and vigorously directing that they be shunned?
I believe that such remarks are a sign that 'apostates' are having a greater impact on the Watchtower organization than they want to admit and they really don't know what to do about it.
my hotmail got/is hacked.. i have no idea how, i never open links or downloads i dont trust etc etc.
started when i noticed i couldnt open hatmail in ei and had to use firefox.. it sent emails to all my contacts (i have multiple accounts with their own passwords, so i dont know if went thru them too) and i know my dad opened one and it shut his pc down so bad he's had to take it into a shop.. i ran a scan and removed one trojan win32.. i went onto a different pc and changed all passwords then logged off and back on, checked emails.

@ Cedars,
I'm a little nervous about Saturday night, but we'll see how it goes!
Are you involved in a broadcast on Saturday?

Can Malwarebytes Anti-malware be run with programs such as Avast or AVG in your computer, or would these have to be removed?
I know nothing about these things.
i just got a call from my 'faded' sister who still has the 'pleasure' of having contact with our jw family.. my mother called her and said that she and our dad had their circuit assembly this weekend and apparently a governing body member gave a talk... that seems very odd to me.
do governing body member usually speak at circuit assemblies?
maybe it was a branch member?.
I've noticed that JWs will report as interested someone that disagrees strongly with them. Any kind of a conversation seems to be taken as interest. It's wishful thinking on their part.
They are often so desperate to have an experience like the ones they read about they will take almost anything as positive, but the truth is, they often don't really listen to what someone is saying.
i need to speak to anyone who is a mature christian.
someone who has maintained their faith in jehovah and in christ jesus.
i have felt that many things i have been taught are inconsistent for some time.
...I am only free to speak here.
Another mark of a cult. No matter how little sense a teaching makes....for example the generation issue, as you point out....you are not allowed to voice your feelings in the Watchtower. You are only permitted to accept it all, regardless of how silly some of it may be.
so i was poking around jw.org a lil recently...... noticed this advertisement was still present in the 'privileged' section (ie you gotta have login access).
this was posted on jw.org a little over a year ago (as shown in pic) but since it is still viewable......figured it is fair-game for jwn fodder.
thoughts?????.
...these cars are all miled out and overpriced.
Up to 95,000 miles? Ah yes, but they are theocratic miles brother. As to the price, would Jehovah ask you to pay too much for a car?

The " issue" is the never ending cycle of guilt when every six months the C.O comes around and I feel horrible about myself.
It's designed that way. In the Organization you will never really feel good about yourself. If you become a ministerial servant you will be made to feel guilty because you aren't doing enough, because you aren't an elder, because you aren't spending enough time with your family, because you aren't going in feild service enough, etc.
If you become an elder you will feel guilty for other reasons too. It doesn't end.
This is one trade mark of a cult. (Unfortunately Watchtower has several cult-like characteristics about it.) Working in the interests of Jesus and Jehovah should bring contentment, but working for Watchtower will bring feelings that you are never doing enough. That is one of the key things that clue many people in that the Organization doesn't represent the Truth, as it claims.
