''Congregation members willingly contribute their money to ''JEHOVAH'' to advance Kingdom interests.''
It's sad how the Watchtower organization has made itself a substitute for God.

i dunno about you, but if i walked up to this display at an expo i'd be a little creeped out..
What airline is this?
Funny. They do look like flight attendants, don't they? The men and the women each wearing the same uniforms.
so my mum sent me this link, i need to speak to her about how she feels about this.
maybe she didn't even read it.
but the website looks to pro jw.
Jehovah is misspelled several times on that page, including in the web address, and written with a lower case j - 'jahovah.' And whoever wrote it used everyone's favorite mispronunciation of the religion's name, 'Jehovah Witnesses.'

Agreed, they'll never "release" it...
...but that doesn't mean it won't come out some day soon.
This is the Information Age, after all.
I believe that is dead on. The best chance of having the child molester database revealed is if someone leaks it. So much other information has been leaked over the past several years, it gives hope that it could happen. This is what I'm hoping for.

Thanks Vidiot for the info.
One of the biggest criticisms that Watchtower has had against the Catholic Church, re the pedophile priest issue, is that the priests are not removed as priests but are simply reassigned. If the Jaracz issue is ever proven it would be a huge black eye on Watchtower because it not only reassigned Jaracz, but appointed him to the highest position in the Watchtower organization, the Governing Body.
Not that most JWs would ever be aware of it, since the information they get is so heavily controlled by Watchtower, but some would. The dollar amount of court judgments would would likely go up as well.
I tend to agree with an above comment that Watchtower will never release that database, even when court ordered. They would rather reach settlements with plantiffs. Even if they have to pay high settlement amounts it's better than if the database was known to have Jaracz or other high ranking Watchtower officials' names on it - that would be even more devastating to the Organization on a few levels.

There have been strong rumors for years that Ted Jaracz was removed from his position in the Australian Branch for sexually molesting a child. Years later a woman, in a protest outside one of the Society's properties, accused him of molesting her years prior. She later died and the matter went nowhere.
After being dismissed from the Australian Branch Jaracz later became a Governing Body member.
The rumors persist but there is still no hard proof. The suspicion is that his name may be on the data base of child molester information that the Organization has compiled.
on june 25, 2019 watchtower ny filed petition for a writ of certiorari in the u.s. supreme court.
the society asks to reconsider a $4 million judgment against it in a california child abuse case.

Thank you for the update Corney. It's an important one!
has anyone else seen the netflix documentary “explained: cults”?
i thought it was well done.
i feel like a jw might watch it and feel uncomfortable as the show goes through the definition of cults and then the step by step indoctrination process.
I cant find it on my netflix
Did you use Netflix's search function? Type in "Explained," which is the name of the series. The episode on cults is one of the latest ones. It's worth seeing and I hope you can find it.

I heard that Jehovahs witnesses were briefly mentioned on a piece of text or a written list...
Yes they were.
The show explains that an area from Albany to Buffalo, known as the "burned over district," was the birth place of many new religions. The United States was particularrly receptive to new religious groups, although some had sprung up in the Middle East, Europe, and India, usually as a reaction to some sort of social or political turmoil.
Jehovah's Witnesses are included in the chart shown. JWs and Seventh Day Adventists both sprang from the Millerite branch.
an astonishing article has been published yesterday by the italian newspaper l’indro .
