i did not realize how controlling things were going to get... about 1 year into my study i moved w another single sister and then baptize, looking back i think i went thru w baptism because i fell pressure by the "loving" congregation that wanted the best for me... i remember coming out of the pool and one of the brothers saying "another victim" and taking a pic of me... anyways, that wasn't the worst of it.... remember single female!!

Let me guess...the dubs have got a scipture for this also, right?
Yep! Eph 6:2. Apparently we should honour our parents every day not just on 2 Sundays of the year when everyone else does. Mothering Sunday is a religious holiday here in the UK and Father's Day was made up by the card companies, so I was told by my family that made it 'Worldly' and 'materialistic'.

Is there a correlation between personality type and leaving the WT?...
by Tuesday inon facebook tonight there was a post asking to take a personality test, in posting the personality tests a trend started emerging that certain personality types seem to leave around the same time.. i came out as an intj which is introverted intuitive thinking judging.
which a good paragraph describing it was:.
intjs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "does it work?

Harold Camping suffers a stroke
by moshe incould this be a message from god?
a california broadcaster who wrongly forecast the return of jesus last month is now hospitalized after suffering a stroke.. harold camping, 89, of oakland, calif.-based family radio was reportedly taken by ambulance thursday night from his home in alameda, calif.. "he had a stroke, it was on his right side," a neighbor of camping's told the oakland tribune, noting that she and her husband helped and comforted camping's wife, shirley, as the event took place.. "his speech appears to be a little bit slurred but otherwise he's ok," the neighbor said, after her husband spoke with shirley yesterday.
"(shirley) said he was doing good ... and the only thing that's affected is his speech.".

How big is a demon?
by Terry inthings which exist are real enough.
we can measure them.
they are just this big and no bigger or smaller.. they are here and not there.. imaginary things have the luxury of being any size.

Depends. How big is your Canaanite idol or your multiple personalties disorder?
Seriously though...http://www.crivoice.org/demonsot.html - An interesting read on the translation. I've pasted the conclusion:
In summary, there is no Hebrew word that can be translated as "demons" to communicate what that word implies in English. There does lie behind the Old Testament conception a basic animistic and mythological world view with which the Israelites are in dialog. But they are using the terms and in dialog with such conceptions, not because they accept them or are dominated by them, but precisely to deny the validity of such mythological world views. The biblical writers use the terms not to accept what they represent but precisely to reject it. It is clear that there was a popular belief among Israelites in such things as ghosts and the mythological creatures of Canaanite religion. But the biblical tradition as it stands moves beyond such popular mythological conceptions to a vision of a Creator, a sovereign God who is in sole control of the world, and does not share that with anything or anyone. So again, there are no "demons" in the Old Testament, only idols that are rejected as "no-gods."
The New Testament accounts of 'demonic possession' resemble various forms of schizophrenia, epilepsy etc. Without modern medical advances and methods of diagnosis such as brain scans, people needed some way of explaining these episodes.

IS THE UK A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY NOW ?
by Hairyhegoat inwell here we have kids and old age pensioners living below the poverty line, and the prime minister promises 1.4 billion to overseas aid for jabs... the uk is a dumping ground for immigrants, and they all get houses and cars payed for by the tax payer.
i am not racisit but when my country is bankrupt then we need to close the borders and look after our own.
the freeloader imigrants need to find a new place to squat as the uk has run out of money, schools , hospitals, and most of all jobs.

Third world countries don't have things such as public housing, unemployment benefits or public health care and hospitals.
True, but the Liberal Democrat & Conservative coalition government are making huge cuts in these areas in an attempt to reduce the huge deficit in public funds. Seriously ill patients are having to travel long distances for dialysis and chemotherapy because their smaller local hospices are being shut down. Unemployment benefit is roughly £60 a week - that will pay for a week's food for a family of 3 or 4 (and that's stretching the budget)and nothing else. When I was unemployed for 8 weeks, 5 years ago due to having been made redundant I had to survive on credit.
Here's a crazy example for you: The government has cut funding for Breastfeeding Awareness week which is completely counter-productive to their money-saving efforts in the long-term as the more women who are encouraged and supported to breastfeed would mean that less funds would be required to be spent on treating diseases such as diabetes, obesity, cancer etc which breastfeeding can prevent.

I can't see how working for £3.00 per hour is gonna make any of 'em rich... even if they work 3 jobs. But £3.00 per hour is probably a LOT more than they would get "back home"... where they were probably either starving... running from insurgents... dodging bullets... or hiding from bombs...
It's a lot more complex than that. The majority of immigrants (in my area of the UK anyway) are from EU member nations who have the right to work here. Mainly from the newer EU states like Romania and Bulgaria where the cost of living is considerably cheaper than it is here. They come over, often 'seduced' by companies doing a mass recruitment drive advertising the jobs they have available here (not advertising them in the UK, or if they do, not offering them to UK candidates) with a 'golden hello' incentive which helps them to move here, pay the bond deposit on a rented house etc. BUT, these workers then get paid less than the minimum wage (the employers flaut the rules on pay & tax by whatever means possible to get staff at the cheapest rate possible) and find themselves stuck here where the cost of living is 2 to 3x higher than back home. You see them shopping in the supermarket with all the really cheap bread, noodles and tinned food in their trolleys because they can't afford much in the way of decent meat, fish, fruit or vegetables. They've been exploited, the locals have been denied work, everyone loses except the employer and the Inland Revenue.

Well, where I live the communities are still suffering from the Thatcherite era. The mines all got shut down in the 80's leaving the majority of (now middle-aged to retirement age) men unemployed, unskilled & unqualified. Most of them had left school with no qualifications whatsoever as there had always been work available. Then the steady decline in manufacturing - partly due to recession and partly due to companies cost-cutting by outsourcing to the Far East, etc - meant that there are far fewer jobs in the immediate vicinity (e.g. Burberry factory closure). Many became depressed and turned to alcohol, or drugs. There is big heroin problem amongst adults now in their 40's.
So, the current generation of young people were brought up by families on benefits and had poor diets which has caused issues with brain develoment during crucial growing phases which has hampered their academic attainment levels and caused ADD/ADHD. I worked in school last year where the percentage of kids with SENs was as much as 25% in some classes! Teachers were telling me that the reason so many children had broken bones set in plaster was due to their poor diets (cheap cola & frozen oven-ready foods devoid of nutrients). The teens have a very apathetic view to education -- "What's the point in working hard at school when there are no jobs?" The older teens who left school at 16 either wound up doing manual labour (roofing is quite a popular choice as no formal training or qualifications are required); join the army and wind up on the front line in Afgahnistan or the like within months of passing basic training; or get their girlfriends pregnant so they can get their own council house, claim Jobseeker's Allowance so they can keep the council house and continue getting housing benefit (which TBF is pretty easy considering they have minmal or no GCSEs and there aren't many jobs) but they supplement their income by selling weed or cheap tobacco from the continent.
A few years ago the local bus company employed lots of Eastern European immigrants (most of which couldn't speak English) to drive their buses. The rise in fuel prices has meant that barely anyone can afford to use the buses anymore - it's around £5 for a return ticket to the nearest town which is 3 miles away.
Having said all that, the burglary and car crime rate here is pretty low as nobody has anything worth stealing!

Noo, I'm not from Florida, sadly. Well I say sadly, my Celtic/Scandinavian genes don't cope with heat and humidity particularly well so perhaps it's a good thing? I'm in South Wales, UK near Pam's Girl (think those 4 emoticons sum Wales up pretty well TBH). I've seen Trivium, BFMV, Lost Prophets, Bowling for Soup, Bloodhound Gang all at The Newport Centre - seems to be the Welsh hub for rock music these days. Would love to see Disturbed.
Is it wrong that my 2 year old moshes to this?
Somewhat lesser known but oh-so epic Maiden choon...
