i've just read at a spanish forum for ex-jw that the wt has cooked a new light article series about social celebrations, including birthdays and aniversaries.
according to a member of this forum 'in short' the wt will let witnesses to decide by 'their bible trained conscience' either they celebrate birthdays or not.
is this rumor based in some real facts or it's just bullshit?.
If it IS real then it's probably spin doctor tactics disguised as 'new light' to get more (and keep existing) members.
this is something that has always bothered me.
as a born-in jw i was raised as a little girl wearing skirts and dresses which is clearly quite normal in terms of gender-appropriate clothing.
however, the older i grew, the more i realised that all jw women and girls wore skirts to meetings and when out in fs, but would wear trousers in their everyday life.

Nah, you'll get arrested by Gwent Police at the toll booths! Those guys actively look for something to do. They tried to book me for speeding in the 50 m.p.h. zone at Plaza Rogiet, just before the toll booths, only I wasn't speeding at all (long story, but I challenged it and was able to prove my innocence, took 3 months of legalise letters back & forth mind you).
You wanna don a Welsh Rugby Shirt ready for Saturday's game. It won't save you the £5.70 toll fee, but at least they'll let you through!
...Oh, and go on the old bridge if it's open. It's what us locals use. Nearly always quicker & quieter and the booth staff will actually smile (they are grumpy sods on the new bridge).

The short link won't embed as a video when posted on this forum. Also certain browsers won't render it an active link. So what you gotta do is click the little square box entitled 'Long link' to the right of 'Link to this video:' which'll give you http://youtube.com/watch?v=tRmZ9zH-mYM.
However, the long link as it is won't always embed the video. You will need to delete the 'www.' portion of the link first. If the hyperlink isn't active you can make it active by clicking the hyperlink icon (depicted as a linked chain) in the editing panel at the top of the forum posting box and pasting the link into the relevant box - just make sure the 'www.' is removed.
