  Update on Dr. Stark

  on another thread, i mentioned that i had sent an email to dr. stark, and got a prompt response.

  in a second email, i asked him about the context of the quote that the society is using.

  i also, told him about the destructive nature of the jw policy regarding the sexual abuse of children.

  edit: maybe i goofed.

  i did not watch dateline tonight, and did not hear stone philips say it would be shown at 7:00 pm eastern.

  this is better, because family and some friends on the west coast will have it easier.

  The new "Generation" doctrine

  could someone explain to me how the generation doctrine changed?

  i know that originally they thought it applied to the generation of 1914 and i heard that it changed.

  i asked my dad to explain it to me but his explanation didn't make any sense to me - something like "a generation can last forever" ???

  Didnt Ray Franz state something like this in one of his books?
  Basically stating that "this generation" was being applied in a
  wrong manner, while he was a gb?

  Didnt that same issue of the new light have a Questions from
  Readers regarding this new light? So are the writers of the Watchtower
  writing letters to each other and planting them in the Watchtower?

  can any of you posters provide some good links to anticult sites or articles.. i've been to ex-cult.org, fom.com and others but i need something more specific.. i was thinking about anything around the lines of an article explaining in detail any or all of the following:.

  1) how cults use decietfull recruting tacktics.

  especially how they put on a show for the new converts but only reveal the true doctrines/attitudes after the recruit is hooked;.
