Hi Nambo. Thank you for sharing with us your experience. I believe what you felt, but I don't have felt anything in my whole live. I read the Bible every day, pray, speak with other(very close friends, I don't go out D2D) what I have learned from the Bible that is different from WT teachings, but never felt any "special" thing. That's why I think there is something missing inside me.

Thanks cofty, snowbird, L111, Cedars for your post, and L111 I will vist jwstruggle.
Having a clear manifestation of the Holy Spirit among Christians of the first century is likely that someone expect to feel something "special" in our time. Whenever I have in mind Joel 2:28,29: Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.Or maybe it has not yet come the time when God will pour out His spirit?

How many of you have felt the Holy Spirit being JW? Have you felt to have it after leaving? Always in my prayers I ask for holy spirit, but honestly I have never felt to have it. I love God and Jesus, but if I do not feel to have the holy spirit, does it means I have not the approval of God and Christ?

The Two Trees - My Genesis Ponderings
by cedars ini've just posted a new blog article to jwstruggle.com on the link below:.
http://www.jwstruggle.com/2012/03/the-two-trees-my-genesis-ponderings/.
the purpose behind the article is to explore my own doubts and long-standing confusion over the genesis narrative - particularly the events surrounding adam and eve's expulsion from eden, and the "two trees" (namely the "tree of life" and the "tree of the knowledge of good and bad").. in my article i discuss my confusion over what the exact properties of the "tree of the knowledge of good and bad" may have been, and the fact that evidently by eating of the fruit adam and eve did not become sinful but more godlike.

Hi Cedars, I posted my OPINION on this matter in the other site, so here is my OPINION ans as always, please forgive my English;
I do not think that was God's purpose that humans live on earth forever.
From the very beginning of creation and not by reason of sin, death existed. Everything on Earth was created with a biological clock which would allow each creation last for a certain time. Let me explain better, a dog was designed to last about 15 years, a horse 40, a tree perhaps hundreds of years. Sin had nothing to do with this duration of time, but rather were designed by God as well as whatever he did was good.
We humans were not the exception. Our design, without any other influences, perhaps always was about 80 years. But God had a purpose that - after the Earth was filled of human beings faithful to God, these will become part of their spiritual creatures (Ephesians 1:9-11). This was his secret to mankind and it should show worthy of the privilege before that purpose will be revealed. When Adam and Eve eat from the tree of knowledge, they may learn of the secret.
I know that much of this is conjecture, but this is how I understand it. By Adam and Eve being able to eat of the tree of life, this would allow them to last long enough to fill the earth and then die physically to inherit the heavenly life. To acquire knowledge that they were not allowed at that time, were expelled from the garden with no opportunity to feed back from the tree of life. As a result, besides being dead spiritually to God, began to die physically.
To have in their systems the effects from the tree of life, they lasted for several centuries as well as many of their descendants, but this effect was gradually lost until the present day we last what was assigned to our biological clock.
God did what was necessary to maintain his secret until the right time. So I think, that from the very beginning God had planned a heavenly future for his human creation, given that they were faithful to Him.

Thank you all for your responses. I must confess that since I read the Bible without preconceived ideas of the WT I feel that the call for Christians is Heaven, not only to 144,000.
I also recognize that after all it is God who will give us anything that he has in mind for us and certainly will be very good. Thank you all. And about my avatar, this is a majestic creature. I had a clouse encounter(not the movie) with one last year, about 10 feet. Simply beautyful!!!

I wish that Christians give their opinion
by wolfman85 ini wish that christians give their opinion.
under the old covenant to the nation of israel was offered the promised land.
the references in the ot to a life on earth are based on the old covenant, but clearly in exodus jehovah said: "and now if you will strictly obey my voice and will indeed keep my covenant" ... and we all know that the nation of israel did not obey.. the new covenant under christ brought hope and better conditions for mankind who accepted christ as their savior.
